Certain tech problems distract from what is probably a good voice. So many singers are not taught how to manage the vowels & you get that sometimes strangled sound.

I like the tone- it is very distinctive. His tone quality is more like that of a lyric baritone than a tenor, but his range and passagi make him a tenor. I don't think I've heard a voice like that before.
