@390merc65 But how many things have you replaced? Its not about imports never breaks, it is about through people experience we can tell that imports are better build with better quality all around. American vehicles in general are build without too much thought put into them, I'm a bit glad that after all the economy problem American manufacturers like Ford are putting more effort into their products.
@unidad355 i only replaced a few things over the years..but thats not the issue here..look at this video..its an import and is supposed to be better as we are told..there is another video on a nissan breaking 3 hubs in 1 day...3 in 1 day??..and i cant even remember the last time i had my hubs apart for anything and my truck is 35 years old ..i know this will piss ppl off..but import trucks do not impress me at all ..i dont see the better quality here .import trucks seem to break easily

@390merc65 Get out of the states and you will see no American truck. It works over here because are cheap and cheap to run. Everywhere else there is Toyotas, Nissans, and Land Rovers. Even when Americans truck are cheaper to buy they are unreliable and thats it. Yes f150s are very good trucks, sales numbers dont mean anything, VW Beetles are one of the best sellers but not a very good cars. Test your F150 along side a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series pickup and see what lasts longer

My experience with American havent been good and great with imports, I've some American cars, had 3 Cherokees, 1 Grand Cherokee, 1 Chevy Cavalier, and a 93 Blazer and all have been bad this cant be just a coincidence .

That sux. Over here In Australia, those things are notorious for breaking front diffs with just a little bit of hard work. same as the hiluxs. I broke 2 in the space of 3 months in my hilux and i wasnt giving it much curry the second time! haha. The navaras have an alloy front diff casing and they flex with too much torque. thats why they break. the hilux crown wheels are just tiny. The crownwheel gear face is 25mm wide!...
ouch that's a bummer, but i dnt see how that happened if your wheels were still rotating. hmmm, perhaps a defect? i drive an 05 SE with 33's and a 2 inch lift and can easily crawl up stuff like this, never had to worry about my diff going.
id say a defect....I have an 08 and I towed a 1500 pound trailer for 2 weeks... Broke my rear diff .....nissan asked me how I did it and the simple "idk" answer was given...... free diff :-) works great now so I think it was a defect
same thing just happened to me tonight..... the aluminum housing flexes causing a shift in the spider and ring gears.. ( putting most of the load on one or 2 gears)
now mine sounds like a wooden roller coaster when I drive it... its going to nissan tomorrow under warrenty.
I cant tell, were u locked? if not that is rough man. I have an arb in my front D30 with 35's and have never had an issue.
