alekbanks is correct. I've never served; however, I've seen the best and the worst of war in my own family. Two brothers, three uncles and one or two cousins. My comment is to defend those who serve. I feel sad and embarssed that our good intended men and women are put in the position to fight wars that we do not belong in..I understand those men and women are under contract. Fact soliders sign up for the possibility of war. Fact soliders die. Fact providers of war get rich. Question - VOTE
Clearly smartpeeple has never served in an army. You cant just put down ur gun wants u join an army u make a commitment to serve and follow orders no be a hippie idealist. Soldiers arnt used there paid to do a job the country needs doing. The politics of war are far more complicated than the far left makes out.
This is what it's really about -- day after day for some -- The govt doesn't want us to see it for real -- and flashes us a war without blood -- There is Blood -- There is Death -- a call to all Soliders -- Put down your guns, refuse to fight!! Can't you see you're being used -- your fight is for nothing but making cowards rich.
Agreed. Well said :) I would definitely fight for my country... But the Iraq war isn't even for our country... It is merely for nothing. (As you pointed out...)
