Clapping is a common habit upon landings. It's an expression of rejoice for ending a long flight, arriving safely, and probably applause to the pilot too!
I flew twice from Alexandria Egypt to Toronto Canada Via Athens, the fly was perfect and the food was acceptable, except for the long 13 hours from Athens to Toronto and the 1 hour landing in Montreal everything was great, I really love Olympic airways

I flew olympic airlines 3 times from Montreal to Cairo vie Athens, the flights were great , the food was fine , beer was fine as well, I have no complaines ,
I once stayed at the hotel shown at around 0:50, the two dark brown buildings--the Delta Meadowvale Resort. That was back in 1998, I'm from California.
Were they clapping because they were happy they survived?

Chinguacousy/Mavis, McLaughlin, Dixie, the 410 - I've done this approach too. I like the clapping. I didn't think anyone did that any more!

was it a direct flight? I took OA to pearson once, but it took a 1 hr detour to YUL. Ps. this airline food sucked :|

Yes, we had to land in Montreal for one hour.
What year did you fly with them? In 2007 the food was acceptable.
