  • Good video if u need fishing buddy let me know I live close by

  • want to see some of the best fishing in the world? check out my channel (castin' cajun)

  • Theres no tournaments in that I live by that lake

  • Some people crack me up.. I think it's called a LIVEWELL for a reason. Iv'e watched all basssssman's vids, dude can fish.

  • what kind of boat is that

  • u got the video of u catching the 9 pounder?

  • Great fishing! Idk if I would have kept them just yet while they're spawning though. Maybe only 1 or 2 if you really wanted to just eat some since one will probably hold 2 nice filets already.

  • What do you mean by that? I didn't say any of those things.

  • 0:35 seconds that what she said.

    o and nice first fish

  • @Bassmastacasey LMAO

  • YES for flippin

  • Ooooo ur my hero will u teach me everything you know about fishing? i looooooveeeeee u! stop bitching and learn how to fish on your own people!

  • whats the point of keeping the bass??? kind of stupid...

  • @scottisko0L maybe he's fishing in a tournament

  • @channeljedavisjr a tournament during the spawn?

  • you know where their at. cool cool brother.keep fishing . and really. haha keep fishing that 45 degree dam. you got some luck there. constantly.

  • why would you put a nesting bass in your livewell? I hope your boat sinks!

  • You cant keep carp like that its illegal

  • wow, whats so bad about keeping bass? they taste awsome

  • @VOVKARFRC

Bluegill and Crappie taste better.(and reproduce quicker) The point of releasing them is because it take's them so many years to get big.

  • were you fishing alone????

  • wtf you've been fishing tourny's for 18 years but u feel the need to hold onto the bass in your live well like a little kid. I'm 16 and I don't even hold the fish in my livewell, it's pointless

  • @11louisse when u tournament fish you cant let them go till after youve weighed them in dip shit, whish generally means to have to keep em in your livewell...

  • @jallan1407 glad you figured that out (y) but u forgot to notice that there is no mention of him being in a tournament

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of bait is your favorite for sight fishing?

  • awesome

  • like rly does ever set the hook?

  • i no u dont keep them but why dont u let her go back and spawn so there is more fish for other ppl?

  • @bassmassterchamp3 he just explained hes a god damn tournament fisherman and he catch and releases read his other god damn post

  • @philly442 whoa dont get your thong in a bunch i was just wondering

  • why not practice catch and release like real fishermen do.

  • Fun.

  • Were you in a tournament during the vid? Up here in WI we have a closed season for bass now until May, which sucks a big one, but tournament season is only a month away for me!

  • @bobbydthedude3 Hey Jackass read the past post about my catch and release. I have been fishing tournaments for 18 years. I release 100 percent. I am not going to explain it again.

  • dude, i have bean fishing puddingstone latly, and you can see them in the water. thay are being realy realy stubern and wont bite. what tacticts should i use to catch them?

  • @Rob13y it's hard to catch them when they are in the pre spawn mode. The fishing will get better soon.

  • @basssssman thanx man, but when thay are out of spawn mode, do thay stiill stay that shalow in the coves?

  • @Rob13y Stubborn is an understatement this time of year! patience! They'll turn on soon! Maybe try slow-swimmin a swim-bait or a shad-colored tube. I've been switching between frog-mode ans swim-mode every few casts, but we've had awesome weather lately here in Southern Ohio..

    Good Luck!!

  • @Rob13y during prespawn and during spawn fishing is easy where i live, when i get the opportunity to sight fish especially when they are on beds i use a really short drop shit rig with a white fluke or craw, the distance between the drop shot weight and the lure should only be about 4 inches. a fairly heavy weight will just hold the lure in place and i actually grab a hold of my line and give it small pop's. they will hit it sooner or later if you got it in theyre strike zone.

  • @bobbydthedude3 how do you know he wasnt fishing a tournament?

  • You people don't know how to read my other post that I have had to tell so many times. I RELEASE ALL OF MY FISH. I HAVE NEVER TOOK HOME MY BASS. READ THE OTHER POST ABOUT IT.

  • nice video man! i love sight fishing. All the anticipation watching the fish approach your bait or just watching it react in a split second and WHAM! your bait is annihalated! haha its one of my favorite ways of fishing along with frogging. On some lakes, it's not easy to catch a bed fish, so people cant say it takes no skill, this is especially true on highly pressured small ponds. tight lines

  • Why dont you just release when you catch you want to show off at the ramp or something

  • and is that your honey hole or somethin? almost every vid i see that big dam or whatever in the background. goodjob btw and 5 stars

  • were they on bed?

  • hey are u fishin a tournament

  • i was fishing near my house in the river i cast out about 10-15 feet for about five mins then i realed in and while realing in about 3 foot away from shore a little 4 inch long bass bit the weird thing is the bass stay around the lily pads where i live but i put the little guy back he was so smallbut a great encounter it was

  • I hooked one in the eye once and his whole eye cam out and i lost this fish, and he was a huge SOB too!!!!!

  • man you got alot of dumb comments of people bitchin... its a good video nice work

  • Thanks,

    I know some people.

  • i foul hook bass all the time (outside the mouth) they swirl on it and you can hook them on there gills etc. and tournament bass fishing if your sight fishing you cant foul hook one.

  • "In the mouth! In the mouth, baby!"

Ummm... where else were you considering hooking him? LOL Nice fish though.

  • They only consider it a caught fish in a tournament if it is hooked in the mouth and not on the outside.

  • Hmmm... I guess I just don't catch that many fish on the outside of the mouth. Then again, I fish for salmon and trout, not bass, so maybe it's different?

  • your a good fisherman bassman ive only been fishing 6 year.. but im only 14 =/

  • thats cool that yall r fishin and im fine with that but dosent that take the whole fun and rush out of fishing by chance? just wonderin cuz i mean at least your fishin =)

  • hey wut bait / lure were u using?

  • It's a Angler's Choice Beaver tail in the summer crawfish color with a brass and glass bead combo. You can't get the beaver tails anymore. The color drives them nuts.

  • Nothing like catching bass while their trying to protect the futuree population of the species....

this takes no talent and is frowned upon in my neck of the woods

  • I have been fishing for 24 years. The only lake I know by Fresno is lake Isabella.

  • doesnt matter if hes just trying to catch the other fish...if its closed season its illegal to put the fish into your livewell

  • There is no closed season on that lake.

  • Spawnin is by far my favorite time of year to fish, there is nothing better then seein them hit that lure.

  • nice video man.

    best of fishing

  • put'em back. c'mon

  • I do 100% release

  • o. ok. my bad. good luck

  • I 2nd the motion, RELEASE THEM PIGS

  • what is wrong with you

  • you put that one in your livewell you didnt release it.....

  • That fish was released. Read the other post on the same subject. I have been doing this for 18 years and have never seen it hurt the population. You are probably not a tournament fisherman.

  • What lure was u using?

  • i completely agree with him keeping the fish in his livewell. Its not hurting the fish because there will be another bass (either the male or female) left on the bed to protect it. He only has them in his livewell probable for a minute or so because he is trying to catch the other fish that is on the bed. im sure he releases them right after he gets both of them.

  • i dont see any shorefisherman. so whats wrong with keeping fish. it beats buying them at the store and u know they're fresh.

  • Just to the right the trees stop and there is a long open shore line.

  • well, i just read below that you say you release all your fish, then i don't see why you put them in your livewell. if they are bedding then you should release them right after you catch them, where you caught them. i just dont understand i guess,..

  • Because just to my right is where the shore fisherman will catch and keep them. So I take them to a shallow spot on the lake that the shore fisherman can't keep them. I have seen alot of shore fisherman with stringers with big fish on them.

  • Well that is a good reason. I didn't mean to come off so harsh, I apologize. I just like to see these fish have the chance to live and reproduce. There is no real good reason for someone to keep a largemouth, they're a sport fish. Here where I live in northern Indiana someone caught a 8lb. bass about a year and a half ago out of a small body of water... They kept it, took it home and ate it. Made me so upset, nobody should eat an old, smelly, oily, fishy-tasting largemouth bass. Let it live.

  • why the hell are you putting them in your livewell? are you fishing a tournament? no. you know these fish are bedding, reproducing. what good does it to keep them? be a true sportsman and let them go. this video pisses me off.

  • some people have no respect like zinkerled over there...nice video

  • handled the first fish like a beginner, but you played the second fish well. That's what I like to see. Where are you fishing?

  • Puddingston in CA

  • Love the vids, wondering what line you are using, and what your drag is set at? I am having a hard to finesse fishing with my BC reels. Any advice?

  • I use 8lb florcarbon with a drag just enough to be able to pull it out

  • You old basstard.

  • I release all my fish.

  • thanks

  • are you using a worm for sight fishing?...

  • Yes, It's a small Angler's Choice beaver tail worm in the Summer Crawfish color.

  • you make me want to go fishing lol.

I am uber addicted since my 18lb sheephead I caught the other day. I cant wait unril bass season opens up.

  • Where are you fishing? I live in Georgia and sight fish every year.. only diff. is that the lakes I fish have bass ranging from 8-12lbs every where on the beds. Last year I lost one that I know would have went 16lb. No B.S.

  • I'll have to agree with everyone else. The harm done by moving a spawning fish capable of producing hundreds of fish just to save one fish is not logical. Release them back on their beds and just pray they outsmart the shore fisherman. Thanks

  • Just wanted to know where you get your info that it is more harm. Talked to alot of people about this and they disagree. Bass and Flw catch bed fish all the time in tournaments. The fish will finish spawning.

  • But while the fish is gone from bed, bluegills or other predators will come in and take the eggs.

The fish has no way back to its nest after you've moved it miles away from it.

  • How do you figure that it does more damage, if the shore fisherman keep them. Hello.

  • I do release the fish. I take them over to a flat on the north end of the lake so the shore fisherman can't keep them.

    Gary

  • what depth are you at in the begining?

  • About 3'

  • nice

  • Swweettt r u running a guide survace! I think you shuld!!!

  • I am using a small beaver tail worm with a brass bullet weight and a glass bead.
