  • NOT A PHANTOM CAMERA

  • "plan to work on a tyre? Watch the full video first." why shouldn't that be said at the start rather than the end?

  • Can someone tell me what a phantom camera is ?

  • @BADtimmay Phantom cameras shoots HD footage and capture from 5000 to10000 frames a second. To give you a comparison 30 frames per second is the useuall camera frame rate.

  • @MrWiseinheart Cool :) Thanks !

  • @BADtimmay Phantom is a company that makes High Speed cameras

  • i just wanna say that who ever welded the pipes to the plate to build that steel framework did an excellent job

under that force, the welds hold intact while the plate and pipes buckle

  • why do people get so mad at safety videos?

  • Hah, looks like a butthole

  • @djkillgore16 lol

  • fuck!

  • the tire had extreme orgasm

  • @giantfoottruck man sex sex sex sex.. it's getting boring man. pigs

  • Now given the assumed budget of producing and filming this video, you'd at least think they would get the title correct, Nothing wrong with the tyre here, it's in perfect shape. Rim failed, aint got shit to do with a tyre. Nown try to mount a R22 tyre on a R22.5 rim, thats tyre failure.....

  • shit

  • yer a wheel did that to me today :/

  • I mount tires on two piece rims everyday that go on forklifts for a lumber mill. Mine dont come apart cause i actually know what im doing. Yea one can come apart at anytime but thats why i use my cage.

  • Ho uses thath type of rims anymore last time i thing i saw thath type of rim was on a volvo from the 80,s split rims ar not recomended on lorrys .Ore am i missing something?

  • anyone know the brand and model of that tire?

  • Total wheel failure. That's why you use a safety cage.

  • Epic Meal Time Music lol

  • i think it needs to be stronger. that is some scary shit yaw

  • huh, maybe that is why old tire monkeys call those wheels widow makers and dont mess with them

  • This is why the require the use of a cage when inflating tires now.

  • PHANTOM CAMERA MY ASS! ! ! ! NOTICE IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME TIRE. IT IS A FILM TESTING CAGES FOR CONTAINMENT BY U.L.

  • @VITATTA Phantom is a brand of camera...

  • I wanna put my dick in there..

  • This is stupid the tire doesn't have a chance of setting the bead. It's way to skinny.

  • Sempre é muito perigoso quando se vai encher um pneu...

  • 1 person every 30 years kills himself while attempting the IMPOSSIBLE........Tire Inflation.

  • @BuffaloTPU I guess you've never had a tire explode on you......

  • this is why we dont run those stupid 2 piece wheels anymore

  • @b16vtecguy many transports still use them... that's why you use a cage to put them is as your inflating them though.

  • look at that smoke.....there is explosives in the rim

  • @sergiofuenla Sorry dud but your wrong, if you've ever seen a tire inflation gone wrong then you would not make the comment you made

  • No Doubt. I saw a PICK UP rim (yes, the old split rim style) blow the guy that was sitting on the tire/rim inflating it about 3 feet off of the ground once!!

  • @cornbinderguy they still have split rims on some eavy earthmoving machinery but they have imroved them

  • @sergiofuenla the "smoke" is likely water vapor.

  • widowmakers FTL

  • also I would like to say that when truck tyres explode the tyres not the rims the results can be deadly check it on mythbusters!

  • I love split rims, but these were of poor quality, try that with some bbs or ronal wheels, I garentee a different result!

  • thats why i hate split rims

  • to everyone claiming that they didnt see a tire failure. While correct, the video shows exactly what happens when you overinflate a tire. The tire itself will not explode. Its the rim that blows from excessive pressure. I dont know where it says anywhere that the tires failed. Ask any tire guy (myself being one) when a tire blows your not worried about fragments of rubber. Your worried about fragments of rim. Any rim new or old will fracture when overinflated

  • @laxdogg23 i've seen a tire blow not the rim and the poor guy got all that wire in him he was lucky to live and in a tire shop same thing happened almost killed him too so it does happen.

  • TIRE DID NOT BLOW UP THIS PERSON IS DOUMB

  • At first i was like people die? Then i was like oh.

  • yeah split rim will let da bead seperate to save the tire

  • its called a split rim ask someone who works on them

  • my friend tire exploded because he putted to much air.... blew off his whole passenger fender

  • The sound track is like Epicmealtime sound track don't you think?

  • @Mrfusetoocool Baconstrips & baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips& baconstrips........

  • @LordAbraxesDark your a fukin fool

  • THE RIM exploded! not the tire!

  • those are bias ply tires that use tubes and have those split wheels

  • well that one of getting the bead loose

  • fake wheel :D

  • looked like a old split rim, in my 3 years of working at DTC i have never seen this happen to a welded steel wheel or aluminum wheel, one reason being is that the air machines we use only max out at 90 psi not even enough to make this video a reality, this video they must have had to jack the pressure beyond the 125 psi range

  • @xfusionpower

It would have taken more than 125psi to do that, I have seen a bead not set at 120 psi

  • @solidhamster very true im thinking around 200psi or higher to get a wheel to do that

  • @xfusionpower Only 90 psi, will the air jacks even run on that low of pressure? I thought it was higher than that when I used to work for them.

  • @NewGenTech2 The machines in place at the air cage only go to 90 psi per safety policy, however the air machines in back are regulated to put out about 250 psi then at the tree where the air tools are regulated to 150 max but if your caught hooking up the valve to get it to go past 90 you can be terminated at the managers discretion

  • @xfusionpower Ok, that makes sense. They had just started to really incorporate the use of the air cages when I left about 11 years ago so that probably why I didn't know or remember the policy. I do remember that we mainly used them on the larger truck tires more than anything.

  • @xfusionpower

A man I know that used to come into work quite often was fitting a tyre to a 15 x 8 inch mag wheel that unbeknownst to him had several hairline cracks in it. The bead wouldn't seat so he hit the tyre with a rubber mallet. The bead popped with enough force that it shattered the cracked rim and a piece hit his arm just above the elbow. It shattered his arm bone and took most of the flesh off the underside of his arm all the way to his hand.

He only had 40 psi in the tyre.

  • "AAAAAATISSCHHHOOOOO!!!!"

  • the tire farts hard

  • those are off road wheels and tires they are made way different then most. there are made to hold low presser for better traction

  • What knd of cheap ass riims are those. GOOD Idea to use a cage on 2 piece rims.....or the old stile with the ring. OR you can use a LONG air hose that where you can turn on the air with a ball valve. And I'd wait for awhile before you approach the tire. I've heard of 2 piece rims separating just sitting in a garage..........z

  • What's with the dramatic music? lol

  • split rims are dangerous,!!

  • I have heard stories where the two piece rim failed while at a stop light, the outer piece embedded itself into the engine block of the truck next to to it.

  • STOP STEALING EPIC MEALTIME'S MUSIC!

  • I know a man whos arm is torn to fuck because of airing a truck tire with cage,

  • and this is why they are called widow makers

  • I was inside that tire, im free now! and im coming for you bitches!

  • tires don;t blow like that. usally they lose pressure slowly, and very rare due to bad tire condition may burst. that was an explosion, i guess cos they over inflate the tire. and is not nessesery to have an accident due to a flat tire, you have three more to handle the vehicle.

  • So I take tires off my car every time I inflate them? Thats a hassle.

  • notest how it was a split rim that was used they are band in ontario for any one that dont know what a split rim is its a tipe if rim that was 2 peice and held together with a ring

  • The video is ment to show you the reason for using an inflation cage. Branick cages will contain a tire or rim failure.

This is a type of explosion that could happen when filling a tire. A tire failure would be a similar type of explosion.

  • @t6s4b this(these) were split rim truck wheels and the tire didn't fail the rim did. These have been very dangerous rims since the were designed and are banned in many states..........now I'm going to look for an actual tire explosion.

  • is this meant to make me think twice about inflating my tyres? great ive always wanted to drive on flats

  • good ole split rims...i have one under my 61......the original spare

  • It's not important what failed, it's just the point to be safe when working with tires.

  • ive been doing tires for 20 plus years and first thing, Dalibor811 is rite, it was a wheel fail not the tire.... if you look the wheel was WAY to wide for that tire which when you put a lot of air in it the beads will give out.... and 2nd, PangeaSoft, im guessin the reason why there showing this clip is to show how a cage can withstand the blow of a tire that explodes, or a rim that is to wide. Know what your talking about before you comment people..

  • lal, 14 ply rated tire? like those used on forklift pretty huge amount of pressure, but we all agree that only wheel rim failed here, not tire ... video would be much better if they used standard car tire with more detailed psi/bar pressure dropped into pneumatic either way , i think ther's 10+ atmosphere pressure, maybe even 20+ needed to destroy rim like that.

  • This is what happened to chuck norris when there wasnt an air pump nearby, and he blew into the tire instead.

  • did him wheel died?

  • How many frames per second?

If you guys are so proud of the video some info would be nice.

  • No explosion here.

  • lol every year people die.. and then you use epicmealtime music..

  • Hmm, I didn't see one tire failure in that video. I saw inner and outer rim separation, but no tire failure.

  • @raceboy1971 Tyres do not explode. Only the rim does. You'd have to be a retard to think a tyre can explode... People get amputated by incidents like this all over the world, all the time.

  • @raceboy1971 Thats not a seperation its a 2pc rim on larger equpment this is what works best but if the wedge ring is not not installed properly well you see what happens this is usualy installer error but it is the easyist to put on a video because you can set up the fail simply by not installing the wedge all the way

  • @raceboy1971 believe your eyes! That's damn right

  • What's the point of this video if you've put the tire in a metal cage? Would be much more impressive w/o the cage.

  • @PangeaSoftwareInc

    Check the video after...

  • At what psi did the wheel finally fail?

  • The tire didn't explode, the wheel failed.

  • @mateopdx Neither tire nor wheel. Rim has failed. Wheel is called a tire and rim together

  • @mateopdx thats what happens. Thusly, the tire cage. these wheels used to be two piece with a snap ring. Lots of people have gotten hurt/killed before changes in wheel design and safety cages.
