I always wonder why these honour killings are mainly found in Muslim societies. I also always wonder why Muslims do not want to ditch their cultures and customs once they migrate to the west and adopt western cultures. If this is difficult then why dont they stay and die in their corrupt and poor countries instead of causing havoc to western societies. It is not good for someone to accept you in his house and then you shit on that person. this is what muslims are doing.

Thank u for educating me on Hindu honour killings, I hadn't previously known it was practised there too. But thank u also for inadvertantly proving my overarching point - that religion is the fundamental cause of this barbaric practice. Firstly, Yazidi is a derivative of the Islamic religion, and is, as you say, localised and practised in Islamic countries, such as Iraq & Turkey. However it seems that most Muslim countries govern under Islamic law i.e. the "race" or "culture" IS the religion - there's no distinction. It's one thing if a girl is irresponsible and gets pregnant: there are consequences (children). Death for adultery is in the Old testament too & is not associate w/ just Islam, but it is ....
but it is... important to know what the context & conditions are b/c some verses from the Quran have been quoted completely out of context to make the religion or muslims look bad. In the case of death for adultery, I know that there has to be 4 witnesses to the crime & the one accused of adultery can witness against them & swear by God's name that she's not guilty...they can't kill her. Here's the problem with saying some verses aretaken, "out of context". 1) most of the time, they are not out of context at all. Verses that decree you to kill unbelievers "whereever u find them", or to force ur women to wear cloth that covers everything but their eyes, or that women are fundamentally stupid, are not out of context at all. It's one thing if a girl is irresponsible and gets pregnant: there are consequences (children). But in Islam there are countless examples of girls being RAPED by their uncles, etc. and ending up the same way: murdered by their relatives for having brought DISHONOR on their families. Being raped by a male relative is somehow dishonorable and therefore punishable by death.

You have to keep in mind that the actions of people should not define a religion. It's sad but true that a vast majority of people are very ignorant of their religion and follow that which their forefathers have been following (cultural) & in these cases so called "honor killings" these murderers could be the least concerned about disobedience to God, otherwise they can't commit the crime of murder. Death for adultery is in the Old testament too & is not associate w/ just Islam, but it is ....

In the case of death for adultery, I know that there has to be 4 witnesses to the crime & the one accused of adultery can witness against them & swear by God's name that she's not guilty...they can't kill her. Here's the problem with saying some verses aretaken, "out of context". 1) most of the time, they are not out of context at all. Verses that decree you to kill unbelievers "whereever u find them", or to force ur women to wear cloth that covers everything but their eyes, or that women are fundamentally stupid, are not out of context at all.
