  • i love how everyone gets on china's case about suppressing the dalai lama and the tibetan monks, but people are so easy to forget the suppression of millions of native americans committed by the united states government, or the internment of thousands of japanese, italians, germans, and later cubans

  • @ RedOctober1922

    How about the suppression of

    Uyghurs

    Mongolians living in South Mongolia

    Falun Gong

    Chinese dissidents

Migrant Chinese workers working in appalling conditions in factories

and the poverty of Rural Chinese ?

  • @HumanRightsVideosT i didnt say china isnt to blame, i was saying the united states has had its share of human rights violations. I may be so bold to argue that the united states has violated more civil rights than china, not to its own people, but the people of countries it has affected

  • @ RedOctober1922

The US is getting out of Iraq, but China isn't getting out of Tibet.

    .

Tibet has been looted for many decades.

  • @HumanRightsVideosT ok and now the US is just moving those troops into afghanistan. And the whole reason there is a terrorist problem in the middle east is because of United States hatred for communism during the cold war and the soviet occupation of afghanistan.

  • @ RedOctober1922

Its a little more complicated that that. The US is in love with cheap Oil.

US troops in Saudi Arabia and US support of Israel are major issues for some people.

  • @HumanRightsVideosT Their love for cheap oil had more to do with iraq than it does afghanistan. Afghanistan is all about the taliban, a formerly US funded terrorist organization to fight the Soviets. And the US support of israel is the reason they cant get cheap oil anymore. Speaking of israel, suporting a group that basically evicted palestinians off their land because of outdated land claims sounds like human rights violations

  • Whyd didn't these people care about Tibet when it could have made a difference? The Tibetans are a minority in their own country now. The Maoist have smashed that nation forever. The same sort of fashionable liberal sentimentallity was all for Mao in the 60s when a "Free Tibet Movement" could have made difference. They are all phonies & it is despicable.

  • @ VictorLepanto

No empire lasts forever. Tibet will be free.

    .

Falun Gong are busy clarifying the Truth about the CCP.

    from quitccp. org (remove space)

    @ 5 July 2011 - 98,074,938

    @ 20 May 2011 - 95,388,012 quit the communist party since Dec. 2004.

    .

Last time I did the calculation it was 57,724 people quitting per day, but I can't find my calculator at the moment

  • @HumanRightsVideosT: The self styled "People's Republic of China," actually just a gang of murderers who took Russian money to take over China, might collapse; but the damage has been done. Tibetans are a minority driven to the margins of Tibet. Even the Dalai Lama now only pleads for a real autonimous region in the isolated hinterlands of Tibet. What The PRC did to Tibet is almost genocidal in scale.

  • To learn the truth about Tibet please watch this excellent video

    People & Power - The Lhasa Express - 08 Jun 08 - Part 1

    (10:41 minutes)

    watch?v=4gBm4IHhKTs

    from AlJazeeraEnglish

    This best song 4r Freedom

  • Tibet. com/whitepaper (remove space)

    has lots of good information

  • Does any body really know what Freedom is?

  • I am free to do pretty much what I want. A good dictionary might have a definition of freedom in it.

  • freedom is expression

  • Justice For Tibet

  • Your God is definiately coming, very strange. Okay I am lost.

  • freedom is expression!

  • Beautiful video... Made me cry. I hope that one day all those suffering around the world will get their freedom of expression. Whether it is in Tibet, or Iraq, or wherever people are being oppressed... We're all humans, and this is our right! God bless.

  • To learn about Tibet's fight for FREEDOM

    please go to

    Tibet. org

    Free Tibet

  • Anyone knows the name of the song in the background?

  • so using this for my first amendment presentation

  • What is the first amendment?

  • The right to free religion, speech, assembly, etc. More commonly called Freedom of Expression

  • Do you know that if you say "Free Tibet" in Tibet you will be put in jail?

  • freedom is our both inner mind and physical expression. i support free Tibet and free china and to the whole world to be a free till the sky limited.

  • The Tibetan people should, as all people should , be free of foreign oppressive government just as they should be free of an oppressive class of ruling monks forcing the population into serfdom.

  • egodeosum

Yes the chinese communist party should leave Tibet now.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama called a full amnesty (which means freedom for all) before he left the jokhang temple the first time when china invaded Tibet in 1950. So he freed them all.

Do you know anything about Tibet?

    What do you stand for?

  • Tibet was feudal before the invasion of the independent country of Tibet began in 1949, but I have seen no evidence of serfs in Tibet.

Free South Mongolia, East Turkestan, China and Tibet from the evil communist party.

  • Freedom of expreesion how ever breeds people like the natiolst party to be born who speak out against imagration and are openly rasisct as this is part of freedom of expreesion

  • PatricPage

Which "natiolst party" are you talking about?

Say "Free Tibet" in Tibet and you will be put in jail. No doubt that is what you want.

  • Not all can spell well and look at the uk naslist part (god i can spell) they want to send all imgrants back to there homes by paying them? and why isnt this party baned from exsting?

  • I am not an expert on the UK. Do you know very much about Tibet?

  • Yea a bit i know that unlike what some people think tibet was acuttly an independnt country but was invaded and conquerd by china, and the orginal china empire(before AD) never streched to tibet so in a way tibet have full rights to be indepent

  • Have you seen

    Dispatches Undercover in Tibet

(48 minutes) on google video? Watching DISPATCHES is the first step to finding out about the TRUTH of just how BAD the human rights situation is in modern Tibet. Maybe you have seen Dispatches, but I am certain that MANY people have NOT seen Dispatches.

EVERYONE needs to watch Dispatches and get a BIG dose of the TRUTH about modern Tibet !!!!!!

  • Dispatches Undercover in Tibet, is not available on Google Video at the moment. But

    Leaving Fear Behind (24 minutes)

is available. Google "Leaving Fear Behind" to find it.

    Or watch

Torture in Tibet: A Buddhist Nun Tells Her Story

and get a small but excellent dose of the TRUTH about modern Tibet.

    does not work for everyone.

  • Freedom for who? The 15% of the tibet who enslaved the other 85% for hundreds of years?

Or for the other 85% of the people who now can go to college, have electricity, running water, roads, railroads, Hell the goverment even pays for Sat coms for remote villages so they can have contact with the outside world.

Saying Free tibet Does anyone know how big tibet is? Thats like saying the US should give back texas, arizona, new mexico and California back to mexico.

  • I mean the chinese goverment does suck balls but so do almost all governments. You think the US goverment is that different form the chinese? Here its lobbyist who choose our leaders through money. lobbyist write half the laws. If your a reporter who questions bush your put on the no fly list. Only governments that dont suck are the Nordic countries

  • Not sure where you got your information from. Chinese media, maybe. What is being asked is for basic rights without fear of emprisonment and death. 1.2 million Tibetans have been killed since the communist regime took over the country. Currently, China is a military capitalist regime pretending to be communist. If it wants the respect of the world it needs ot start respecting human and civil rights and the environment. Not much to ask.

  • yeah true China should export their torture like the US does

  • Two wrongs don't make a right. At least we are allowed to hear about it and try to take steps to prevent it from happening again. People need to udnerstand that governments are made of people, and like them they are flawed and need to be educated. When a system is flawed and corrupt their best weapon is keeping people in ignorance and hiding information. We've seen this enough to know how dangerous that is. Justifying a wrong with another one is denial and cowardice to do something about it.

  • No not really Like i said both sides are ass holes. The Tibetans who want china to leave are full of shit about their history. The Chinese lie about their over reaction.

Hell even the western media lies about tibet. They published photos of a protest in Nepal claiming its tibet.

  • You don't get that 15% of people are there friends and family

  • Delete spam from gantid.

Free Burma, Darfur and Tibet from the nasty things that the chinese communist party does.

  • Freedom of 20 year-olds to drink!

  • FREE Palestine from Israel

  • !!!! FREE AFGHANISTAN AND KASHMIR !!!!

kashmir has been under indian control since 1948 and yet no one ever talks about giving them freedom.

  • free tibet from dalai lamai!!!

  • I actually feel like buying the CD to spite the Chinese government, seeing how they blocked all of i-Tune because of this album =/

  • grrrrrrr! they can't take any competition.

  • why don't those singers spend some time learning about the history?

Being ignorant and naive doesn't mean you are cool.

  • totally agree!

I would say "free tibet from dalai Lamai"

  • kaixingbaobao

Do you have anything intelligent to say?

  • spaced out

    Please tell us about Tibet.

  • i dont think these singers can show me where tibet is in the worldmap. so sorrowful!!

  • free tibet? Freedom? after the olympics, lets see if they're still alive to cry for freedom.

  • The concept of any society is one based on fair play. yeah! olympic spirit? He who sacrifices his conscience to ambition burns a picture to obtain the ashes.

    Sounds more familiar

  • and no, i'm not Tibetans or terrorist, i'm actually Chinese but i still disagree with the way the Chinese government's being treating Tibet! because after all they don't look alike, they speak different language and believes in different religions, so why not let them be free rather then forcing Tibet become a part of China???

  • Freedom is what our grand parents and even great grand parents fought and left for us. there is no any right reasons for Chinese government to use extreme force to stop the under growing of Tibet's human right movement. when the governments try to take away this privilege that's being fought for generations away from us, that's when we should unite the world's force and rebel over it, no one should ever try to do such thing to anyone!

  • No wonder China banned itunes from the Chinese over this album. These guys are a bunch of terrorists! Freedom of expression? yeah right! Just do what your told and everyone will be happy! No need for self expression if we all get what we want! its a brave new world and if you dont like it, take your SOMA.

  • Excellent project! You've got my support and I'm ordering a CD and telling my friends.

  • All those who are singing for humanitarian cost are the singers of God. Hope you all will be Happy forever and be the same singers from HEAVEN. and Others join with those.

  • This is such a wonderful message. I love it, what an amazing work.. I will definately buy this cd... Thank you to all the artist and great people supporting plight of our great nation. Freedom truly is Expression. Bhoe Gyalo (Victory to Tibet)...

    Free Tibet

    -tk

  • Finally something sensible from those who love freedom for all, and not just for the underdogs.

  • Talking about freedom in abstract terms is almost meaningless. Freedom to spread rumor or libel is best to be contained for the benefits of all.

  • Beautiful work - thank you - now we all need to do something to help the world see what is going on in Tibet - i heard reports yesterday that it is like a huge prison - we who have the freedom of expression should use our voices for those that no longer have that right...

  • thankyou for this wonderful initiative.

  • There are two kind of people in this world:

People who know that they're not free, and people who don't they are not free. Wake up people nobody is free, but he who doesn't a shit of political matters.

  • Such a great cause! It will be so amazing to actually get the CD soon. We ordered it from Amazon..cool thing is we have seen several of the artists on the CD live....

Just curious...have any artists ever banded together to support the Save Darfur movement?

  • I love the deep reds in this video-- how they contrast with the individuals in the foreground is just stunning.

  • truly beautiful....

  • Beautiful........

  • A beautiful video.

    Thanks

  • bg24955. you're an immature prick. got a life, dear?

  • Please China..... don't be afraid and think!

    Think different

    lineke

  • very good indeed

  • china is an extreme case. she treats dalai lama's picture like child pronagraphy. dalai lama fucks no one. wait, did he fuck china before? china still wants to fuck him, to be fair.

  • bg24955

Since 1959 His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso has received over 84 awards, honorary doctorates, prizes, etc., in recognition of his message of peace, non-violence, inter-religious understanding, universal responsibility and compassion.

  • amen. may his holiness achieve Nirvana. obviously secular 84 awards, nation building, and non-stop freedom struggles help.

  • realistically, every tibetan exile men and women (100 K) should get US $100,000 cash settlement from beijing, in return exile goverment should be abolished and all anti-china activities stopped. that's cash-for-territory demand. total grand sum of $10bn (=100k*$100k). deal or no deal?

  • bg24955
