I'm really enjoying watching the videos of Nina and the happy family everytime. I'm not married yet but I wish I have my own family like yours one day. I'm looking forward to seeing the new ones soon. Take care.
happy new year to u Geof and nina and family! may God bless you and family. it's been a while, i could not get to watch nina coz now very busy with thesis writing..huhu..miss cute nina..happy and healthy always ok!
how sweet..my favourite is the pig with the long ears, but the snowmen are done so well, I can actually imagine them coming to life, walking, and laughing. Great work Nina! Keep up the good work, keep expanding your imagination.
I like Nina's walking and laughing snowmen sculptures. They seem Hayao-Miyazaki-esque.
I wasn't going to say anything, but I had kind of noticed in the videos that include you (Geof) and your wife that all three of you have rather horizontally liney bodies. I'm glad Nina was able to capture that in her artwork.
Yeah, it's a little embarrassing how much I dote on Nina, but I'm an older father, so I really don't have anything better to do with my free time. Anyway, thanks.
i love the exercise thing hahaha..and the drawing of papa with beard.. maganda! its a tagalog word it means beautiful..thanks for posting geoff, happy new year..
Those laughing snowmen are just awesome!! Again, her inner world... I wouldn't imagine these little snowmen laughing myself, i mean, maybe i would just make them, but laughing? I don't know, but I love it!!! And Just Cat... Hehehe!!!
Ah! "Papa with beard" was my fav in this gallery ^__^ I like how she can immediately tell what the theme is, even if it's so minimalistic. It made me remember when I was a little girl and I was able to see all sorts of things looking clouds or just shadows on the wall and they made perfect sense to me! Please preserve those drawings for her...she would be glad to see them, when she will be older.
I actually do have many drawings I made since I was 3 'cause my parents liked them (my mum says they are like real art because they portray complicated themes with just a few lines...that's what I liked about Nina's too! ^__^ )
I love to have those now that almost 30 years have gone by. Kind of archaeology, in miniature.
Interesting. That's great that your parents kept your art work. I sort of thought of Nina's drawings as "simple" but I like your explanation that "they portray complicated themes with just a few lines." Thanks!
Haha. Good job there! Ok, as a preschool educator, one thing to look out for is Nina's progressive drawings. keep them up and you'll be surprised to realize that she can really draw much better in time to come with more details. for eg, the human have no hands and legs for now, they will appear soon. haha. kids work amazingly. keep the art pieces for future reference. you'll be surprised. ^^
Thanks for that input! It is interesting how universal the stages in drawing/language development/conceptual understanding etc. seem to be. OK, we'll keep her pictures so we can see the progression, as you recommend.
Why don't you make a video of Krystal's art, still? It's not too late, is it? If you do make one, I definitely recommend having Krystal explain what the different pieces represent.
OMG! So cute :D I love how a lot of it is food. Nina is quite the artist I loved her little walking snowmen at the end. She so creative and precious. The artistic side must run in the family.
hi, i always update about nina's video.. she's really cute.. (cuter than my cousin, honestly.. hahaha) merry x'mas to nina n fam!! btw, maybe nina want to be an artist.. :))
Hello. This is Amber's father. my daughter is asleep right now, because I'm leaving you a comment. Your drawings are like Amber's when she was younger. They are very cute and good. She got a drawing book for Christmas to study. It's called funny faces. Keep at it and you will get better. Thank you.
She is such a smart and creative little girl! She's going do something great when she grows up I just know it! Whether she is an artist or a doctor or something else she's going to be great at it.
The snowmen are laughing at the ogre underpants...lol

In a sense, don't we ALL have horizontally liney bodies? I think that was really what Nina was trying to express.

Ha ha. Yeah, the snowmen don't strike me as laughing either, but Nina insists that something is funny for them.
Anyway, who am I to question the artist?
Thanks!

Ha Ha! That's so cute.
She draws way better than me when I was her age. They almost held me back for my horrible drawing once. Isn't that mean?
laracroftroxmysox 2 years ago
Held you back for drawing? You probably just had an artistic genius that was beyond their understanding.
