  • SMOKING WEED AND BAMBOO, SIPPIN ON PRIVATE STOCK!

  • The sad thing is the "original" (Puffy copied the sample from Pete) beat is very uncreative. It's literally just a loop of the original R&B sample (which is "Mtome - Juicy Fruit").

Pete Rock actually chopped the sample, and MADE his own drum pattern and bass line!

This is the real "hip hop" version of Juicy.

  • Both Versions Are Dope nuff said

  • The best version ever recorded.

  • mega head-nodder

  • Came for bIGGIE Left with a Stiffy!

  • Poke's version fits the song better *shrugs

  • Fuck P-Shitty. That Foo's A Bitch Back Then & Now, Lame Ass Foo. Pete Rock Should Have Been Credited For The Original Version Too. Biggie Was Too Good To Kick It With That Fag. He Should Have Kicked It With Pete Rock & Had Him Make More Of His Beats, Imagine How Many More Tight Songs Biggie Would Have Out Right Now? Smh Puffy Is A Homo

  • @waaatttsonnn right, I should have said "the version credited to Puffy and the Trackmasters" even though they didn't come up with the idea of sampling Mtume.

  • @theyreout77 S'all good, you can't lose with either beat. Pete Rock did genius on this one.

  • uh well i love pete rock but I definitely prefer the puffy/trackmasters version. obviously james mtume is the real genius here though

  • @theyreout77 pete rock made the original beat too, puffy's only involvement was theft of pete rock's classic beat. he did both the original and this remix.

  • puffy sucks!

  • I am your admirer rock peter I have all the disks and I would like to be like your shit ere heard the best dj that goes on to

  • Can someone give me the bpm for this please! i wana make my own! Thanks

  • @MisterDonFudge

To calculate BPM just count the # of beats that you hear in the song in one minute. You need to know basic things like that if you're trying to make your own mixes, fyi

  • if u a hiphop head then you know that this is the original not the remix

  • where can I get this? This is sick! Thanks for the upload :)

  • This shit bumps hard

  • both original and remix are very weak... too much pop, bleeee

I like biggie but not these lollipop sounds

  • This one is better the the original.

  • @illyrianfighter666 that is the origina version puff stole this beat man

  • Pete Rock Is A Genius

    This Version Is 1000% Better

  • remix? more like original :)

  • I like the original better of course but this would have deffs been a good club banger

  • Although the original was bigger in the clubs and more popular around people i know i personally like this version a little bit more.

  • So what is the story behind the Juicy-beat?

  • @Onkojaque hmm do u actually kno sounds like a rhetorical question

  • @thisfuckinsucks1 You COULD consider answering my question.. Since I don't know shit. I wouldn't have asked it otherwise. So please..

  • @Onkojaque Pete Rock and Puffy were friends and Pete once showed the original sample to Puff and told him he will sample it. Then Puff brought Biggie and they recorded a demo which was produced by Pete (and contained same sample ((Juicy Fruit)). But then I don't know how/why, when they put Juicy on the Ready to Die album, Puff Daddy sampled the whole instrumental of Juicy Fruit (which was btw something new) and didn't give Pete Rock any credit.

  • Puff didn't kill Hip-Hop..nor did Lil Wayne or Soulja Boy. The radio Dj's destroyed it. They're the ones who play that garbage 24/7. When was the last time you heard Mos Def on the air. Or Raekwon & Black Thought. Hell...even the somewhat newer cats like Jay Electronica & Nottz gets no spins.

  • @taylamadesoul IF THEY DIDNT MAKE HORRIBLE MUSIC WE WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO REAL SHIT!!!

  • hey guys, you think tha puffy is piece of shit? or Fag? If Not Puffy, Biggie Would Be In Jail, and Biggie Would Be Piece of shit so shhhh, if not biggie puff wouldnt be such rich, and if not puff, We couldnt listen to this :))

  • nah pete rock got money, he still producing hot beats for rappers in todays music. so that nigga is not broke.

  • good stuf :)

  • Damn, this is good. I like the different feel. The original is real funky, which I LOVE, but damn this has got soul.

  • p diddy didnt destory hip hop lil wayne did so leave p ddidy alone and realize who sucks and yes i am a pete rock and biggie fan

  • Puffy disliked this...

  • why does this song still give me shivers everytime i listen to it?

  • because the lyrics with the dope production by pete are absolute timless masterpieces thats why simple!!!!

  • How do I get hold of an mp3 of this remix??

  • this beat is WAYY better, drums bang; sounds way less poppy, more biggie's style

  • This was the OG version..

like Primo's OG version of 10 crack command was Jeru Damaja's hot 97 promo tune..remember my old heads!

  • MR Magic Marley Marl !

  • Nice... I actually prefer this to the original.

  • 5%

  • tbh i dont think p.diddy would be as sucessful as he is today if it wasn't for biggie

  • @duckboy619 that is kind of obvious if you think about it

  • people are calling it a remix, but wasn't this the original? which p diddy remixed

  • @theomac30 your right, it was, but diddy thought it wasn't mainstream enough, just like everything is based on nowadays, no raw shit anymore, its fuckin bullshit

  • why is everybody hating Diddy?

he's the one that convinced Big to even go with this for the remix

Yeah Diddy's fckin wack but lets give credit for having a good ear for once

  • @GoggleMan25 The album version is the "remix" and the remix is actually the original. Heard PR say that in an interview. Puffy seems to be notorious for jacking credits.

  • @ungoyone

I was watching an interview earlier, Pete said that originally Biggie didn't like the beat, but Puffy was pushing him to take it for the final cut

  • Damn Once again Pete did it ! ...F0ckin awes0me Mix !!! This is de real shit

    - FUCKKK de plastic Piddy !!! - BIG RIP !

  • @nsapao4cc lol, shows you how much you know considering he was the original producer and un-credited.

    peace!

  • @nuyts123 word up bro

  • i love the beginning of this song man

  • puffy fucked this legend, used him then disposed of him. rip big

  • Puff Daddy is the best promoter and A&R to do this! - If it were not for him - New York would have faded away in the early 90's!!! - big ups to Sean Combs A.K.A Puff Daddy as for he beat this oppressive imperialistic system and pimped it New York style!!!!!

  • @RFIGGZ puffy is a fuckin career ruin-er. get the fuck outta here

  • dude ????

did you censore something in the beggining ? o.O

    somekin weed and bambue..... ??

  • @polopeter111 Yea i noticed that too

  • Puffy can eat a dick.

  • This takes me back to the days,im getting down to it now.Miss old skool :0(.

  • 50 secs of silence at the end? why?

  • @cyberphox a moment of silence... rememberence of the Notorious B.I.G.

if it was my choice i would have a moment of silence for Big instead of the pledge at school :)

  • @kookid36816 lol

  • muy buena tio

  • @MIAMIdaBEST raping? never new some1 could be good at that ;)

  • puffy stole from pete rock and never gave credit to the man for the original beat, what a piece of fucking shit!!!!! pete rock is the one who should be on puffy's place

  • @RealHipHopTunes fuck u biggys the shit loser

  • wtf?? i never biggie sucked dumb ass! since when did i say that?

  • @RealHipHopTunes Not really man. Puffy took Biggie outta the corner spot and gave him a choice, the music or keep slingin rocks.. Puffy brought biggie to the top and they met up with pete rock who was just samplin and remixing the juicy beat then biggie went on it.

  • @JustSoCHill1 beggie never sold rocks was never in jail and never poverty stricken, dont believe the shit puffy put in that film.

  • There's no uncensored version of this, right?

  • oh there is, look for the original one with the most views.

  • fucking love your username, mate.

  • Props to Pete Rock for making this classic Gem.

Mega Props to Mtume for creating the original song.

Props again to Pete Rock for making classic and smooth bassline

NO Props to Sean "Puffy" Combs for jacking this beat from Pete Rock.

  • this is the best version of the "juicy" track by far.. Pete and Big rock't right then...

    RIP Notorious Big

    PEACE Pete rock long'live'

  • fans probably already kno this, but the original juicy was produced by pete rock, but puffy didnt like it, so he asked a different producer to make a different beat with the same sample

  • eh... puffys not a dumb guy, but at the end of the day he still helped destroy hiphop and everything we love about it, while pete rock is still in a small studio in NY probably broke, keeping it real as possible... sad sad world.. pete rock should be a household name because he is one of the greatest hiphop producers of all time.

  • WORD

  • @Adrenaline969 I don't think Pete's broke, he made so many classic tracks that still sell nowadays, + the soul sourvivor album, a lotta people have it at home..

  • @KillaBeesOnDaSwarm dat album iz hard 2 find

  • @Adrenaline969 Puffy just stole this beat off of Pete and flipped it to be more mainstream. The bass and drums in this are just nasty, pure Pete Rock, but Puffy's version has some shitty computer-generated hats and snares and it just plain bull. Just like you said, it's sad to see someone like Puffy be so successful and then have Pete Rock struggling to make it. Damn.

  • @Adrenaline969

    Pete Rock aint broke genuis

  • Comment removed

  • @Adrenaline969

"pete rock should be a household name because he is one of the greatest hiphop producers of all time."

    word.

  • @Adrenaline969 pete rock aint broke

guys like pete rock are minimalists anyway just give him a MPC, records, and a turntable

  • @Adrenaline969 Don't worry, he's damn rich. He used to charge like $20,000 a beat! In fact, he is a household name in places like England and Japan, where they bump real hip hop on the radio and shit.

He's dropping tons of new shit this year, continuing the legacy!

  • @ArbyWanKenobi england dont play real hip hop the radio, its the same over here we play jason derulo, not pete rock

  • @FourAmMusic the best hip hop youll hear on the radio in the uk is prob on charlie sloth, other than that, its the same shit everywhere

  • @ArbyWanKenobi lmao They stopped playing REAL Hip Hop on UK radio about 5 years ago, even on pirate and specialised ethnic or BBC Hip Hop channels! Round about the time Grime (bastard child of Garage emceeing & Ragga toasting)started getting Mainstream appeal. Instead we just coordinate Hip Hop culture through DJs & communities in special clubs & events in cities with large Hip Hop communities. As for radio, we got infected by the same disease that killed the US, like everything else in life!

  • @Adrenaline969 main reason why pete is "keeping it real" is that he probably aint rich, this shit was never about money, you gotta thank major labels for such thing

  • @Adrenaline969 pete rock is a household name in hip hop. as a hip hop head i realize that pete rock is relevant and puffy never was.

  • thx i didn't know this

  • @Adrenaline969

That once again proves that Puffy is just a piece of shit in this rap game.

  • Pete Rock did the original also

  • Pac

    Biggie

    Eazy E

  • TOP 10 MC'S FROM MTV. 1. Jay-Z(I disagree should be 4) 2.Tupac(I disagree, should be 1) 3.Biggie(I disagree should be 2) 4.Rahiem 5.Nas 6. Kool G Rap 7.KRS-ONE 8.Ice Cube(should be 3) 9.Eminem 10.LL Cool J whoever disagrees comment. please. RIP MY NIGGAZ
  • Good List =) Yee In my Opinion, none are realer than 2pac, KRS, and Cube

  • Jay-Z should be toward the bottom. He's an impressive businessman, but he's not all that on the mic. Definitely not ahead of Nas. Eminem and LL Cool J shouldn't even be on the top 10. How can there be nobody from WuTang Clan? I serioiusly think snoop should be on there, just for his unique style. IDK why Ice Cubes the only LA dude on there..but Cube definitely deserves the spot.

  • how do u kno? did u suck his dick?

  • agree

  • Jay-z shouldn't even be on the list

  • @02030610 Big L?GZA?Raekwon?Big Pun?Big Daddy Kane?Rakim?Q Tip?

  • i dont think jay should be on the list, his classic shit was good but hes becoming way to lazy as time passes and ll shouldn't be on it either

  • this is hard as fuck

  • this is a sick remix

  • P. Diddy and his robbery. No Matter, this version is so much better drums especially

  • R.I.P. 2 B.I.G.

  • Only thing I don't like about this version is that it's censored.

  • biggi is da best he started rap and hip hop RIP Biggy!

  • Man Biggie, Eazy, and tupac are on their own level.... Among them reside Jay Z, Nas, Game, and Snoop

  • Eazy-E,Snoop,and Game arent that good but the others you named are.

Puffy stole the Juicy beat from Pete Rock.Dickhead.

  • are you saying eazy ain't good, watch i don't want to argue but he was that most gangsta rapper

  • He may have been a gangsta and I respect him as a man but he wasnt very good when Ice Cube stopped writing his rhyme's.IMO he is the most overated rapper of all time.

  • i respect your opinion but there are way more overated rappers than eazy-e and real muthaphuckkin g's and a funny gimme that nut are his best work that weren't writen by ice cube

  • RMG's is a cool song but not a very big diss.Sure he ruined Dre's street cred but he didnt take any shot's at his musical carrer

    Cube > Dre,Eazy

  • i agree 100%

  • wutang? big L? jadakiss? Immortal technique? eminem? dmx? d block? rakim? many many more?

  • ohh yee, wutang of course 2
