  • I LOVED DALLAS..ITS ONE OF MY MANY FAVORITES,FALCON CREST IS ANOTHER GREAT ONE........I TUNED IN EVERY TIME THE SHOWS AIRED ON FRIDAY'S.......THE NET WORKS OT TODAYS TIME NEED TO LEARN WHAT TRUE TELEVISION IS............

  • Donna Reed was an academy awarding winning actress and star of one of the most popular TVs programs ever on television. The folks from "Dallas" treated her like crap. Shameful.

  • nice. very nice

  • Charlene Tilton... mmmmm

  • I like the first season intro and the one frone season 11.

  • Thanks for sharing.

    Jessie

  • DONNA REED is super as miss Ellie. She died in 1986 -pancreatic cancer--

  • Did they go on location to Dallas Texas to fim this show? Or is that just a title name?

  • They did the Season 1 miniseries entirely in Dallas in 1978, then they filmed exterior scenes there until 1989, when all production moved to Hollywood

  • Never liked this show but the theme some is good!!

  • Ha,Ha.. One of the best shows in History... you a bit of a twt tbh..

  • dallas and knots landing. those were the days when soaps drove tv scheduling.

  • Hulk,Dukes, and Dallas. Friday nights on CBS were the bomb.

  • Amen buddy....!! Every Week! :) ahhhh those were the days!

  • sheer genius

  • Ooh, I loved this intro as a kid in the early 90's.

  • d. reed was soooooooooooooo bbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

  • Hah. Even though it's not a children's show, this intro reminds me of my childhood.

  • Never cared much for this show. But the opening theme was good.

  • When was Dallas on TV Land?

  • what does dallas theme have to do with god? lol

  • I never watched this, but McGyver used to be sent just before on norwegian television, so i just watched the intro... Brings back memories

  • when was Dallas on TV Land?

  • In 1984 Barbara Bel Geddes suffered a major heart attack and left the show on doctor's advice. Because Miss Ellie was such a key figure - especially after the loss of Jim Davis & Jock Ewing's "death" - the producers felt they needed to recast the role (Larry Hagman's mother Mary Martin was even considered). Donna Reed joined the cast mid-season in 1985, and her final scene was with the family in Bobby's hospital room when he "died".

  • Larry Hagman elbowed Donna Reed off the show because he wanted Barbara Bel Geddes back. They should have waited before they recast Barbara. They could have sent Miss Ellie on a year long European tour or something like that untill they knew for sure if Barbara would come back. I heard that Donna Reed was devastated after she was fired by Larry Hagman.

  • i have never like Doona Reed in that part.

    she was very wrong.

    it did not felt right.

  • I liked her, and when she was critcized for the way she was changing the personna of Miss Ellie, her response was "that's why they call us actors". Once she was dumped from the role, she said she felt very embarrased that her career (which she had largely retired from prior) would end with such a distaster. Sad, because she died of cancer less that a year after her final episode.

  • THAT IS REALLY SAD! Sometimes producers and such are kind of heartless. It wasnt her fault they wanted her to replace Barbara, but after the fact they act like SHE just showed up and took over. THEY hired her, they should have stood behind their own decission and not pawned it off on her...

  • Why is this clip named 'Dallas intro with new linda gray'??? Linda Gray is Linda Gray, but I think you may mean Dallas intro with new Ms Ellie aka Donna Reed and not Barbara Bel Geddes....

  • Poor Donna Reed! They SHAFTED her!

  • Based on a piece by Stravinsky.

  • I wonder where are all theese people now.

  • Dead

  • i wasn't into the show, But the theme is good.

  • where did they get the new three way split from? It's not in the DVDs is it?

  • We used to watch this every Saturday night growing up!

  • ooh yeaahh Dallas rocks!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic series

  • great............

  • Larry, Lynda, Patrick,Susan, Steve, Ken, Priscila, Charlene, Pamela: Jesus Christ. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 Your Bible)

  • am glad to break it o you pal, but the bible id fake, your a sinner to believe in such rubbish.....

  • I am a sinner forgiven by Jesus Christ. He paid for my sins on the cross, by his blood shed there. I believe in Jesus Christr, I believe that by my Saviour and Lord I enter to the Heaven, to enjoy for the eternity many adventurers qith all the saved people by thier faith in Jesus, in the heavenly Jeruslaem, Nwe Earth, New Heavens, in the company of million of strong and saint angels, in a gold streets, and crystal sea. I believe that I enjoy the fruit of the tree of life. Revelations 21,22 Bible

  • radburn89, people who are not religious claim that Christianity is intolerant of their non claiming religious ideas, but atheists and non theists are the real bigots because they tend to lampoon anyone that belives in the "antiquated" notion of God

  • i'm not stoping you in believeing anything you want, but come on if there is a god an almighty being that created the human race is out there, why let his creation suffer with illnesses and disease or hunger, anyway i believe what i believe, i just dont believe in a 'God' that doesn't do anything for people,

  • Then tell me if people are so good why do they cause so much sufferin in this world? God allows things to happen as a result of free will, and he does stop things from happening too. Would you rather be a robot and live in bliss or have free will and live in this world we have here without the ability to choose?

  • my idol is jr...and i liked the w107 mercs where they drove...jr is born in 1931..i cant believe that he looks that young...i hope i am some day finlands own Jr.or bobby...but i would be rather jr ...that bobby

  • i like this show

  • yeah it was doctor elby! man im only 17 and i love this show and it was basically off the air when i was only 2! wish i grew up in that era =(

  • I loved this show and watched it faithfully for many year. I got sick of it after a while, however, I did start watching it at the end. The women were just gorgeous and the men were so sexy. It was the type of show that made you dream a lot.

  • does anyone remember the name of Sue Ellen's psychiatrist? Dr. Elby or something like that.

  • on of the best shows from the 80s... I was the same way as "jamespeterlive" my mom watched this every week and so I watched it with her... before I knew it I was hooked.. Prisilla Pressley was a hottie too

  • The season with Donna Reed remplacing Barbara Bel Geddes was the most ridiculous. A total non sense.

  • I stop watching ever since Charles Bronson and Gene Hackman left the show. It was never the same after that.

  • Must have missed that,do not remember them being on there.

  • Ya, the show just wasn't the same after Jerry Lewis and Jimmy Stewart left either.....

  • With new Elley, not Samantha!!!

  • It's funny how different the intro seems to me now that I live in the DFW area. For awhile, whenever I drove to my job I wasn't like "Wow, the Cowboys play right over there" ... I was like "Damn, I am only halfway to work."

  • Larry, Lynda, Susan, Ken, Patrick, Charlene, Priscila, Victoria: Believe in Jesus Christ and be saved you and your FAMILIES (aCTS 16:31, Your Bibles)

  • i love the late 1970's and early 80's those were the good old days.

  • I will never forget the lineup on CBS every Friday Night. The Dukes of Hazzard at 7:00, Then Dallas at 8:00, and Falcon Crest at 9:00. I love Dallas, I remember watching it when I was a young kid, always loved J.R. and his ruthless attitude. Absolutely T.V. at it's Best!!!!!

  • You were watching TV at one of its best moments. I liked JR too. But the Sue Ellen character stole every scene

  • In many ways you are right. Thanks for the reply. As a child who grew up in 80's. I really wish they could produce some quality shows today.

  • You and me both.

We didn't realise the shows we watched in those days would end up as classics in the distant future. Even though 'soaps' are just as popular as ever, I think it has had it's 'golden age'. We were lucky enough to see something fresh and exciting. Today, 'its all been done before', and done badly.

  • I thought JR was supposed to be ''the man we love to hate''?

  • Sorry on that message. I meant to reply on comment, not the video!!! ( The one on JR being the man we love to hate)

  • JR is the man we all love to hate!! Don't worry about the comment mess up - I'm the king of screwed up comments on YouTube!! - I just clicked on your channel; are you really 13? I turn 40 in January!!! What got you into Dallas? JR and Sue Ellen were really hot and controversial in the late 70's and early 80's. Even today - they're still WOW!! -

  • My mum always loved Dallas- so I started watching it and I got interested

  • I have always loved Linda Gray too-beautiful and smart!

  • im sad enough to actually want to edit myself into these titles but dno how

  • hahaha

  • The text and sharpness is different on Linda Grey's piece.

  • Looks as if there were a lawsuit waiting to happen between Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.

  • No no no no, Barbara Bel Geddes got sick and had to leave the show for a season, then returned. Donna Reed played a nice Miss Ellie, Barbara Bel Geddes played the REAL Miss Ellie with Power! I lost interest in the show after Pam left:( but then became a fan of Sheree J. Wilson! Pam and Sue Ellen have always been my favorite but oddly enough when I was 10 at the time I saw the show air (1986), Lucy was my favorite!

  • Barbara Bel Geddes WAS Miss Ellie! She ruled the ranch. I loved that show. I stayed home on a Friday night to watch it.

  • This intro has been "doctored". That is not how Linda Gray looked during this period.

  • No shit! Hence the title "Dallas Intro with new Linda Gray". The key word being "new".

  • JR RULZ :)

  • I didnt do this, you must ask SueEllenFan :-) However, I am already looking forward to your ultimate credits Benn, could be great!!!

  • I hope so, fingers crossed (and wires too! LoL.).

  • This isn't ''new'', it's just home-made, you used a clip from season 11 on the left, from season 2 for the middle and another from season 11 on the right.

  • Yeah, you are right!

  • How'd you do this? I am in the process of trying to make the ultimate credits with all the cast but I wanna use my own credits.

  • Um of course its not new, the show ended years ago you plonker. Its a new set of credits which took ages to do. Lets see your attempt please.

  • What I meant by ''new'' was that credits were never used before, so therfore, they would have been new to viewers. When (and if I ever do) get my version made, I will send them straight to you.

  • Ah ok. I suggest you get Final Cut pro on the mac to make them. It takes some time, this was done as an experiment rather than a finished product.

  • I see, thanks for the info. So I need Final-Cut-Pro on Mac? I will try searchuing for this. I did make an opening credits before, but it's just them all edited together season-by-season.

  • DONNA REED AS MISS ELLI

  • I remember her being fired because the fans didn't like her playing Miss Elli, so Barbara Bel Geddes returned. It sad because Donna Reed died from cancer not soon after.
