I'm more of a Mopar Guy then a GM Guy but i have friends that have both SRT-4 and SS Cobalts... Amazing little machines!! The SRT4 have a lot of potential but the last time a saw Phil he was unsure about upgrading the turbo and upping the boost on his SS T\C because of some problems with the injectors when they r heavily modified... Dunno if that's true!!

...would be cool to have a Focus RS with the 5 Cyl. Volvo engine in it!! Would do for a sweet ''All American'' Challenge!! :)

@98montecarloz34  depends to be honest some guys on who run the harrop tvs..only put down 280 to the wheels and make 255tq...some guys are over 300 to the wheels just depends on how good a tune u get.

@Kyler2013 V8 chevys have a good top end but you cant get much with 2 liters and mopars always have top end, my 318 screams bloody murder over 4k rpms and its slow as hell hah.

@rhg1391 .... If that TVS Cobalt raced the SRT4 from a dig ( 0 - 1/4th mile ) it would have been a way different race. On the other hand ... that is one sick azz srt4 to beat both the upgraded Supercharger and the upgraded turbo cobalt, but it was from 40+ rolls. I do own a Cobalt ss s/c and a close friend has a neon srt4 so I know both of these cars pretty well.

Naah forget the stage upgrade kits these shops sell. Just get an M90. Should be able to flow more CFM on less boost, making more power. It's not a direct bolt on kit mind you, but could be cheaper. It kills me that these companies want $650+ for a catback exhaust. Too expensive! But these were some good races. Cool cars all around!

VERY NICE VID. I love the way you had the music until it was time to hear the cars.  Thats the way to do it. Very nice cars too. I just couldnt hear the supercharger in the first one. Maybe the harrop is quieter than the oem charger. Very nice though.

Actually, that cobalt is exactly where i want mine except for the shitty muffler delete mod. Nice to know a stock turbo cobalt (stock turbo not the cobalt itself) can keep up with a stage 3 aka bigger turbo SRT4. Nice races.

with my cobalt 3rd gear went to 180km at 7200rpm

lol i think the powershift hurt the TC instead of helping and the SRT4 was granny shifting i could hear it lol... but then again I know how our transmissions are ( like glass ) Im nearly without third now.

Wow, that was an excellent shift on that last one, I have tried hard to train myself to 'no lift' shift and I can't freaking do it, doesn't help that I have the problems with the damn 3rd gear grind because of the god damn TOB. I'm sure I'll get that fixed before too long (50K miles now, original clutch etc, stg 1, AGP WGA, turboback Borla exhaust w/ mopar cat delete). I wish I could find the stage 3 package :(

It's refreshing to see SS and SRT owners playing nice in the comment section here . That SRT-4 run's good , and it's damn impressive considering whats left on the table running that AFR. I own a tuned / bolted SS/TC but so its hard for me to say but....... you drove around that turbo cobalt like no ones business lol . It will be interesting to see how much you gain after taking some fuel out of it . 8)

I dont like the typical stereotyping that goes on, i have friends who own all types of cars and come from different walks of life our hobby is what brings us all together so why hate? @declaratedvet it is surprising considering the neon was running 10.5-10.8afr WOT. Mark my words....there will be a sequel i have to give the SC owner time to fix his few issues , i'll fix the few issues with the neon and plan to help the TC owner get a lil more out of his tune.
