    Customer Reviews:

Had a tough time choosing between citizen dive watches, like the stored info so I bought this one. Really easy to use. The auto on in water is a great feature, no more forget to starts. The depth guage seems very acurate, measured it against console depth, was within 2-3 feet. Easy to recall up to last four dives. If you fill four ...

  • Great video!

  • Great Review, Thanks so much.

  • @WILL1BYRNES Thank you. I appreciate it.

  • Hi Nick..

when I hit the button, the seconds and the hour hands go to the 12 but the minute hand only goes to the 58th minutes mark....

I've checked out the manual but it's not clear on how to "tune it to zero" as you stated when you were on the "reset" feature....

    kindest regards mate

    Dave

  • @SGTINJ Hi Dave, sure, here's how. Go to the RESET screen, wait for the hands to move, and then hold the upper-left (UL) pusher for 2-3 seconds. Then push the upper-right (UR) pusher as many times as needed to zero the hands. The first hand to adjust is the max. depth indicator. When that's done push the UL pusher again to move on to the hour hand and so on. In this way you can cycle through, and adjust, all of the hands. Push the lower-left pusher anytime to exit. Let me know if that works! Nik

  • @nikudes You are super brilliant mate!!

    Thanks ... worked a treat!!

    Dave

  • @SGTINJ No worries! Glad it worked!

  • @nikudes can i use it for freedive

  • @t10parwani Sure. According to the manual though, it won't record depth logs unless you've been deeper than 4 feet for 3 minutes or 27 feet for 1 minute.

  • I just bought one after seing this review. I´m totally happy with it, excellent watch.

  • Excellent review!

  • just wondering if anyone could help me find a watch, the watch needs to be antimagnetic, decent water resistance, light up for telling time at night, keeps date, has a stop watch, and extra compass, doesnt need a compass but would be nice. If anyone could message me about a watch of this capability, id appreciate it very very much.

  • Was intelligent for? citizens ecos, saw your Citizen tag, High cut on tag clouds.

  • whats the running price on one of these?

  • @brickwester List price is $600 but I saw them on sale recently for $360, which is a pretty great price.

  • @nikudes i wanna sell mine for 350

  • '...i like it a a lot' :D

  • Beautiful watch! I would buy one just for the looks if I had the money...

  • 2:16 you sound like a pilot on Duty;)

  • Hi mate cool review, hope you did some scuba since posting. I'm seriously considering buying this watch since my every day watch just broke and I also happen to need to buy a dive computer so I thought this watch would be hitting 2 birds with one stone. I've only got 2 questions:

Doesn't the minute hand get in the way of the LCD screen during a dive?

How would you compare this watch to the other citizen aqualand, the 01E I believe, with the round case? is the dial size adequate for under water?

  • @alevadid You can see how the watch performs in a diving situation in my other video (see the Video Responses). The face is the same size on the version of this watch with the round case but unfortunately I don't have underwater experience with either.

  • @alevadid Hi there mate. I see this is a older post but Im a tech diver and have both of these watches. The odd shaped one thats being reviewed here is my main everyday/dive watch. I team it up with my Galileo SOL diver computer. I compare them often at different depths and they are nevery more than 10cms out of each other.

About the minute hand covering the LCD screen.... The information moves about as the hand passes by! :)

  • Im getting this watch right now. Thanks for posting this great review mate.

  • @marlin187 No worries!

  • its a very nice watch, i got one when they came out and have been on 16 dives with it. It's very reliable and is perfect for any serious diver.

  • i'm thinking about gettin it for my fiance as a wedding gift since he's been dyin for a divers watch. i'm torn between which citizen watch to choose.i know he likes the watches with the tiny clock like things in them but i like this one because it has more safety features with alarms. i'm also considering BJ2110-01E, do u know if it has the safety alarms too?like if he comes up too fast would it beep? please lemme know. i love ur vids btw

  • The BJ2110-01E has no ascent alarm. From what I understand a separate dive computer handles the diving functions. Diving watches are primarily a back-up system. So I wouldn't worry too much about the safety features.

Why don't you just "randomly" walk by a shop that has dive watches with him one day, see which one he really likes and get that? I'm sure he'll think you're even more extra awesome for doing the research with him.

    Best wishes and congratulations!

  • "feels like really high quality..." well it better be! For the price i wouldn't expect anything else.

  • hey nik i have a ecozilla, seiko snm035,snm037 are this rated 200m or water resistant 200m. i know my zilla is rated 300m

  • Hello Nick,

I just wanted to thank you for making these videos. I finally know how to use my watch now. Take care and keep on ticking!

  • Thanks--glad it helped. Best, Nik

  • Hi Nik,

I ll buy the Citizen Aqualand next month.

    Can you recommend this watch??

Does this watch has a Deco Stop Mode??I dive with an air integrated Suunto Cobra, the Citizen is just for backup.

    Kind regards

    D

  • I think it's a great watch but keep in mind I haven't learned how to scuba dive yet so I don't feel qualified to recommend it or not for diving.

It doesn't have a decompression stop function. From my reading of the manual it sounds like the watch was designed for no decompression limit diving.

  • I have this watch for my scuba/ tech diving activites. I also have the full round version also but the cut side of this version alows you to bend your wrist up fully. I use it in conjunction with my Galileo Sol dive computer. The red light flashes when you violate accent speed or exceed dive time or set depth along with a beeping alarm. So its realy handy feature. Also the Eco-drive solar is fantastic! Iv never seen the charge in the red ever. Also the dive interval time is a treat.

  • I want one of these so bad!

  • What happens when the diving alarm goes off? Vibrate?

  • My guess is that it beeps and the red warning light goes off. I'll try to show that in my next video.

  • Yes your right it does that. It cycles through a range of beep alarms with the red light flashing. The alarm stops for a while and starts again but the light flashes constantly. Its very bright led and very interesting to see on a night dive.

  • Great review, very thorough (like all your watch reviews) looking forward to the next one. Thanks!!

  • Thanks for the feedback!

  • I have the Circular (symetrical) version of this watch which I adore - i never really liked the asymetrical one!

A great review! As it had been a while since i had used all it's features, it saved me reading the instruction manual....

    :-)

    Thanks a lot

  • nice features... but its ugly...

  • Ha, well, it sounds like the James Bond vs 2001 Space Odyssey styling doesn't work for everyone. I really like it though.

  • nice watch but it is very bulky
