oh come on now! At the third book a probability is shown that the two swords ( Excalibur and the other of the flame ) are the ''twins'' spoken in the prophecy! That is why at the ends he gets the two swords and they combine in one ( the two that is one ) Also at the book it writes somewhere that the power of those two might be destructive ( the one that is all ). One to save the world ( the flame thing ) and one to destroy it ( Excalibur ).

I just read the first book.... they made the part where they were awakening Sophie and they made it look totally bad... in the trailer i mean, it looks bad. But I hope they get more progress and make diffrent trailers of it so people can see if they are doing really good on it.

i LOVE the series...they are my favorite books....this trailer looks HORRID!!!! if i were to choose between harry potter books and the alchemyst books i'd pick the alchemyst.....so why does this movie look like someone shot it in their back yard?? i expected MUCH MUCH better! :(

@TheRantsOfABookWorm (Nicholas) Nicolas Flamel isn't a character from Harry Potter -- he was an alchemist that was referenced in Harry Potter as the man who created the Philosopher's Stone and achieved immortal life along with his wife, Perenelle, through the "Elixir of Life." Flamel was a real person, born in 1330 and announced deceased in 1418. (I apologise if I sound like a bookworm.. I find Flamel interesting. :D)

Whilst he is a character that briefly appears in Harry Potter, Michael Scott has written a whole series of books on the modern day adventures of Nicolas Flamel and his wife Perenelle. I've read the first 5 books and am waiting eagerly for the sixth. Definitely worthwhile.
