  • hitchcock was the best movie maker

  • Hitchcock wouldn't care about any of that stuff. He'd just be glad people still watch his movies, so why don't you both shut up and enjoy the film.

  • Reminds me of Winnipeg...

  • Hitchcock'd throw a fit if he saw that shitty tcm in the corner. Way to be crass ted. Hithcock'd throw a fit if he saw this shitty upload. great movie- unwatchable. try again

  • @ericberner

Ted has not owned TCM for years Einstein. He later fought to have his name removed et al, but lost the argument. He was sorry he ever sold it/TCM.

And unless you know your stuff, watch who you throw stones at......and then, even if you do know your stuff...try to play nice...Einie..... ;-)

  • @RDonez Gee, sorry to be crass. I'll more closley monitor my gut reaction to embaressingly bad reposts of films I love for the benefit of sorry trolls in the future.

  • @ericberner If you care so much about the quality why don't you take your cheap ass down to Best Buy and get your own copy. Geez... the sense of entitlement on some people. And I really think Hitch would be slightly more concerned with your watching the film without paying for it than he would be with the quality of your bootleg viewing experience.

  • @shanghaiallie OK. For persons new to this subject, the basic cognitive responses generetated by: A. watching a movie and - B. watching 'TRAEF' on youtubes are 1. needs no repair and 2. dont care what repaired means.

  • JAMES STEWART IS IN THIS!!

    AND GRACE KELLY!!!

AND ITS AN ALFRED HITCHCOCK FILM!!!

    OMG!

talk about wild dreams coming true..

    haha :P

  • you need to get out. you really really do.

  • why did u just upload part 1 ?

  • Love the score by Franz Waxman, it´s brilliantly conceived as source music. Highly underrated.

  • Thelma Ritter always added so much to anything she was in. You can't beat her!

  • died in 1969 and she was cremted

    thelma ritter

  • Layoutzz...What you're responding to in Grace Kelly is something actually called "grace".,"class".,breeding". Can you think of any current actress that exudes those qualities? With their tattoos, bare breasts, profanity, Women used to behave like ladies...now they behave like streetwalkers. When I see the way young women dress I think "What do prostitutes wear now?" Grace Kelly--you're admiring the way she is so lady-like.

  • i lol at you madame.

  • amen!

  • what was in the suitcase ?

  • What's the name of the main woman? She's beautiful...

I mean, I know beautiful women, but there's something different about her. Sort of classy, or elegant.

  • grace kelly

  • Oh, ok. Thank you! Even her NAME has a pretty ring to it.

  • You're right and I know exactly what you mean. Saying she's beautiful just isn't saying enough. There was something special about her that other beautiful women didn't have. It's almost like she was flawless and any description will not do her justice.

  • Awh, and didn't she marry a prince in real life? :Sigh: It sounds like a Fairy-tale.

  • yes she married the prince of monaco

  • Comment removed

  • Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco, hellooo?!

  • Hehe, sorry, didn't know that ofcourse. Ah well, at least now you know it ;-)

  • I know I shouldn't complain, but this quality is so awful I couldn't watch past the first few minutes.

    I love the movie though.

  • what's general motors got to be nervous about...? (9:00)

  • Any 2 minutes of this film, even when nothing sems to be happening (and there's a lot of those) is more entertaining than the whole of just about any film showing in the multi-plexes today. I'm jealous of any intelligent youngster who will be seeing this classic film for first time (but not like this, of course)

  • When I saw this movie a few years ago, my head almost blew up with the awesomeness of it.

    You are right.

  • I love grace kelly. She is sooo beautiful!

  • The movie is great but does not have a very complex plot

  • Most Hitchcock films do not have complex plots, it would take away from Hitchcock's McGuffin technique!

  • sounds like it was filmed live in the movie theatre

  • this is one of my fave movies. if i squint it'd be a better rip.

  • Such bad quality but thanks anyways

  • I have heard this film criticised on the grounds that it's to stagey, in that it's restricted entirely to one room. I think that's the reason it works.

  • Look perhaps that is true but its in one room because it relies on voyeurism.

  • I know. And I'm saying it wouldn't have worked as well otherwise.

  • Absolutely right; Hitchcock wanted to make the movie as claustrophobic as possible so our POV would be the same as Jimmy Stewart's...I thought it was real buildings but my mother told me it was a set, and I found out later she was right.

  • I first saw this movie when I was in 3rd grade. It's been one of my favorites ever since. :)

  • wherer is part 2 .I cannot find it help

  • best hitchcock film ever!

  • Right!

  • Comment removed

  • you seem to be in the minority seeing as most people view hitchcock as one of the most innovative and influential directors ever

  • You have no idea huh?

  • ;-(

  • wie gut dass man so viel erkennt...

  • A great film my 4th favourite here's my top 4 Dial M for Murder

    Vertigo

    Birds

    Rear Window

  • have you seen shadow of doubt?

if so, what do you think of it?

  • Yes i have seen it! & it was a really nice film Joseph Cotten was excellent the villain

  • It was hitchcock's own favourite. I'll check it out soon.

  • That's one of my faves!!! Love Joseph Cotten in it...

  • *Clearer version on janisjimmyjim's channel*

  • The "master of suspence" seemed to have struck gold with this one. L.B. Jefferies seems to have become someone who we may be like when we are all old; bored, tired and full of adventure. Lisa is the typical blond from any Hitchcock film. His nurse doesn't seem to care about him and wish he was cured, like M. It does fit the title of REAR WINDOW since we are seeing evennts of the apartment through his rear window. It looks like this is one of the more laid back films of Hitchcock.

  • i saw in tcm great movie ive never loved such classics as this one

  • picture quality and sound sucks

  • note: in the cast it says Ross Bagdasarian, who created Alvin And The Chipmunks

  • Oh please put up the whole movie and also how about the whole Grace Kelly movie trilogy all 11 movies, that would be great!!!Just imagine it:Fourteen Hours,High Noon,Mogambo,Dial M for Murder,Rear Window,The Country Girl,Green Fire,The Bridges of Toko-Ri,To Catch a Thief,The Swan and High Society all on youtube to watch!!!Yeayyy!!!Will someone please!!!
