A lot of people will care if we win. Personally, I will enjoy it more this year because almost everybody said "the Cardinals won't be any good this year." It's gonna break the Cubs fans' hearts. A lot of people will care if we win. Personally, I will enjoy it more this year because almost everybody said "the Cardinals won't be any good this year." It's gonna break the Cubs fans' hearts. Breweres too! And most all the sportswriters want the Yankees or Mets or Red Sox to win. Yeah, a lot of people will be upset if we go on and win the World Series this year! LOL

Yes they will, but we are just a team that hasn't got a lot againtst them (except injuries and losing practically the whole team). I just think that only Cardinal fans and Cubs fans (and the team that we would beat in the Series) would care. Everybody in baseball cared when Boston won in '04, a lot of people cared in '06 when we won, a lot of people cared about the Big Red Machine that won all those World Series Titles. I am basically saying that it would be like KC winning if we won.

The Cardinals are the ones proving "the world" wrong. Them and Tampa Bay. Most all the so called "experts" on ESPN predicted the Cubs would win that division and they didn't think the Cardinals would do anything this year. They didn't give the Cardinals a chance in 2006 either. The Cubs may be in 1st place right now but let's just see where they are at the end of September! LOL

We don't have to prove anybody wrong, we won the series two years ago, so nobody would care if we won. In 2006 it was a big deal because it was 20 something years since our last series. Everyone will be like they were with Boston winning last year. It will just be another win. Unless we win 2 or 3 in a row, we won't be proving anyone wrong except Cubs fans and the ESPN Retards that place all their bets on American League teams.

I don't think that the Cubs will budge from first. I think we will just keep winning when they when and losing when they lose. I do believe that we could use pitching. If we could get Carpenter, Wainright, and Mulder back healthy, we just might make a run for first. If not, we will take the wildcard, Cubs take the Central, Dodgers or D'backs will take the west, Mets will take the east. Tampa Bay will win the AL. Cubs and Cards meet for the NLCS. Then I think it'll be a 7 game series.
