all right allright queen latifah!!! u go girl, u are really jazzing~~ 4 foreal im a jazz lover also. u can sing rapp &jazz , romantic, songs !! u ar jack of all sonngs and ur good at, it!!!!! holla-holla for the queen! & foot note u have the right to be name queen latifah!!!!!
@TheJazzStreet no i know ... ella did sing it actually (i heard an old radio performance of it once) ... hard to find though i don't think it's found it on youtube..... but i was talking about the approach to phrasing
To me, this album along with the "Dana Owens" album are the only real albums that Latifah ever made. She has a real talent for this genre. I'm hopeful that she will do more stuff in this vain. I love this track. Thanks JS.

Impresionante el bajista, tiene uan fuerza y unos fraseos espectaculares , se escucha en 0:55 y en otros momentos también.

The lady fits in this genre beautifully- she's a little Dinah and a little Nancy Wilson, with some Ella earthiness and Sarah sass mixed in.
