  • One thing that we love to do is make tissue papered lanterns out of jars. We really enjoy making scenes that circle the jars. thank you for your videos.

  • How do we know who wins? Are you just going to message us via our YouTube email?

  • I will like to do the butterflies with my granddaughter and the crown since she loves to dress up as a princess all the time that will be awesome!

  • i have 2 boys who likes making things.

in the summer, we'd go on picnics in the park and find leaves & make leaf rubbings either using crayons or pencils. we then frame them in plain wooden frames (from ikea). we hot glue on small rocks, pine cones, twigs or shells around the frame.

i've also had them draw monsters on paper. i enlarge that drawing on the copier and then cut out a pattern and trace onto colorful felt, stuff w/ batting and stitch together to make their very own stuffed creation!

  • my daughter is a teenager ..but even now...as always...we enjoy scrapping..something i started doing with her when she was in pre-k...

  • I'm always crafting with my girls. We have done nearly every kind of craft their is. My favorite project that we have done was to make stepping stones!

  • My favorite summer craft for kids is scrapbooking... i live and breathe it if I can...

  • We love ROCK PAINTING! The joy starts on various family adventures, when we collect rocks for different purposes: a welcome rock for the porch, love-rocks for decoration on the dinner table, happy-birthday rocks and figure rocks with eyes, mouth and hair, to play with! Nature has so much to offer - no need to buy toys in a store!

When doing the actual painting and decoration (we glue things onto the rocks) it allows us to be creative outdoors, enjoying the sun! Great vacation crafting!

  • My favorite craft to do with my daughter is card-making. I think our new favorite craft will be those ' cakes' in that June/July issue!

  • I do a count down until school starts with ABC's and each day we do a craft that is related to that day's letter.

  • My fab fav summer craft with my grandchildren and my children when they were young is decorating terra cotta pots and planting a little plant in them.

  • My favorite craft in the summer with my grandkids is: We take $1.00 store flip flops and use alot of different things to dress them up. We have used strips of felt, beads flowers, buttons, fabric you name it. We have a great time together!!!! And of course we scrapbook together, but the flip flops are our coolest creations!!!!

  • this sounds like a fun craft to do with the kids that they can give as a present to our sitter or maybe the favorite neighbor that they play with on play dates!

  • I do lots of stuff with my kids, but our newest favorite thing is that I pre-cut some t-shirts up into yarn and I let my boys ( aged 2 and 3) dye it with food coloring and then I crochet it up into something for them like a washcloth or hat.

  • I have done sewing, coloring, jewelry making with all my kids, presently, with my youngest I do all the above plus painting, stamping, card making and paper crafting.

  • We are having "Camp Nina " (what my grandchildren call me) for my 6 grandchildren. We have activities scheduled just like a real camp. Some of the activities we have scheduled are a story time, lunch, water play and a craft time. Simple sewing on felt is one of the craft activities I have planned. This magazine will give me great ideas for our schedule craft time.

  • i like to do crafts all the time not nec. only during the summer, mostly bible related. we love to use household items - being greeen in awesome!! we love to paint wooden projects and use a lot of the photos as gifts for loved ones!! :)

  • Really like the butterflies, think I'll do that with my kids, this summer, I know they will love it, I keep a stash of papers and other things, that are just for the kids to craft with. We do so many different things, I'm always trying to find crafts that will appeal to different age groups and still be easy enough for the younger kids, one of my faves that we did was make little paper purses using the Purse paper pack by K&Co.

  • This is a comment for the June July issue giveaway of Simply handmade = I love doing papercrafts with my niece. One of our favorite things is to make cards. I was recently married and she made the cutest card for us. She enjoys making papercrafts both for herself and to give to others.

  • I'm a Punch art teacher and my favorite classes are the kids ones. They are so enthusiastic and the joy and excitement on their faces when they finish a project is priceless.

  • I have a granddaughter that I have rarely been able to see. This month, and next, I'm hoping to see her every 2 weeks and I'm really excited about that! I would love a chance to win the book and try some of the great ideas with Elleora.

  • I have 3 little ones at home and would love to get some new ideas for projects to do with them over the summer break. They love crafting with me and I'm sure we would get a lot of use out of this issue.
