I have seen skaters go big but its easier to do. You are manipulating your feet basically. If you cant do that then your a freaking retard. Try fliping about a piece of wood with no connection to your body other than friction with the bottom of your feet. Much tougher; coming from someone who can do both skating and skateboarding.

It seems skater10301 has cast the first stone. I would bet that any gap or jump made by skaters can be made by skateboarders because both types of movment opperate on the same physics and at the same speed, but most pergnant to this issue, they require the same amount of guts. Therefore I will end with this, I highly respect skaters and skateboarders for their skills, bravery, and sacrafice. I do agree we should give mutual respect and work together to gain respect for the skating world.
