Enya's a phenomenal artist, the song and album were great. The video was...okay. They gave Enya pretty much nothing to do in this video except stand in front of the blue screen, look at the camera, stare into space, and lip-synch. I miss the videos that made her a bit more a part of the action.

Isn't this a great song!!! I wouldn't have heard of it if I hadn't found it on youtube. Oh and just incase Warner don't think they're making money: I bought the CD the day it came out, at 10.30pm, at a 24 hr Kmart near my house and had the single shipped over from England at a cost of $21 AUD. All up, a $35 AUD investment in Enya music in December. And let's not forget the other albums and DVD I've bought. I've spent about $300 AUD all up on Enya music. Fantastic lady!

Enya is just GREAT (with capital letters) the way she is. She do the best she could and she has things to say even after 20 years.
In truly I am a big rock fun, but Enya's songs are speaking to me too.
What she does is simple great. You can hear her in the radios' programmes very rarely, but when you find her, you will love at least one of her songs throughout a lifetime.
You know, my nation has a say: "The good wine doesn't need a sing-board." And Enya is one of the greatest example for this.
Enya didn't promote her album, becos she knows good music don't need preach. She wants people to find the best music only by their ears and hear,not advertise.
THE celestial of Enya voice, she performed every song by her unique standard. If you don;t appreciate her music, just go away. Enya's classical music is only for fine people who have upper taste.
This is my favorite song on the CD. It's great. I love the new Album. A lot of it is different from what she usually sounds like. It's a nice contrast.

I hope she return to her old style of Orinocco Flow, I want tomorrow, Book of days, or Go To Beyond. After A Day Without Rain, the last albums is very repetitive. Songs like Someone Said Goodbye and One by One is the same. The end of Only Time is the same at the end of Its In The Rain. C´mon Enya, You can do it better.
I agree with you. Some of the songs on this new album sounded very much like those on 'A Day Without Rain.' I really liked "My! My! Time Flies!" because of the different sound it had to it. It was different, but it was still completely Enya.

Enya is my favorite artist. This is probably her 4th or 5th best song on this album. Hopefully she releases more videos and gets some airplay. My kids listen to her when they go to bed at night.
I love Enya. I don't love this song. It's simply missing the ethereal magic that makes her music listenable again and again. Buy the new album, though. There are a least a couple of new compositions that possess these qualities.
I have always liked her & her first 3 albums (especially the second "Watermark") are definitely the best. She had something new to bring to the table. She is at her best when she is downtempo, moody & introspective (a bit like dido). This feels like a song compostition that was "Forced" to have a fast tempo to make it commercial just because, a fast song is seen as the best way to launch an album.
Definitely an album artist (but please lose the cheesy cover songs next time).

I really loved the Watermark album, still do, but 20 years on this is just a weaker version of all the old stuff mixed into one. Wish she could come up with new ideas as she has a big following and talent.
I think that it's late for her trying to do something different as Enya herself, I mean... her fans would never accept it after so many years into a formula that she created and is also her trademark, but I think that Enya should create a paralel project with another name, and try experimenting new sounds, instruments and mixings. She could achieve new audiences without dismissing the old ones. She's very talented, she cannot throw away years of talent into just one kind of style.

Enya is just GREAT (with capital letters) the way she is. She do the best she could and she has things to say even after 20 years.
In truly I am a big rock fun, but Enya's songs are speaking to me too.
What she does is simple great. You can hear her in the radios' programmes very rarely, but when you find her, you will love at least one of her songs throughout a lifetime.
You know, my nation has a say: "The good wine doesn't need a sing-board." And Enya is one of the greatest example for this.

This is my favorite song on the CD. It's great. I love the new Album. A lot of it is different from what she usually sounds like. It's a nice contrast.

I really enjoy Enya a lot, but this song does sound somewhat repetitive. I actually found myself more interested in the visual than the music--usually, in the past it has been the excellent music supported by the visuals. Hmmm. I guess it's always good for a cool-down, but I don't think I'll be buying this one.

The song and the video not bad, but i expected something diferent. I don´t want to change her style, just do something diferent. I hope she return to her old style of Orinocco Flow, I want tomorrow, Book of days, or Go To Beyond. After A Day Without Rain, the last albums is very repetitive. Songs like Someone Said Goodbye and One by One is the same. The end of Only Time is the same at the end of Its In The Rain. C´mon Enya, You can do it better.

I agree with you. Some of the songs on this new album sounded very much like those on 'A Day Without Rain.' I really liked "My! My! Time Flies!" because of the different sound it had to it. It was different, but it was still completely Enya.

I really love Enya, but I don't understand why I feel so depressed when I hear this song... the nostalgic touch in this song and all terrible things have happened in the end of 2008.. sad Xmas.
Sorry for not to be optimistic, this was not a good year for humanity :(

This song is confusing. Parts of it make it sound happy but then there's a dark part to it. I'm all for complexity, but the song to me would have been more compelling if it were one way or the other.

Yes I agree with you in essence is beautiful but the lyrics are kind of strange; specially when it says "no going back, no going home". I think when you're in Xmas time, the first thing you have in mind is to going home.. be with family. Lets ask to Roma Ryan about the meaning of song and its connotation :)
And respect about year 2008, well the economic is in recession, many have lost their jobs, many families won't have the necessary for living (don't even think in Xmas), difficult panorama.

yes... trains and winter rains... those with no going back, no going home. What's strange on this? The song isn't a christmas song... oh please. Winter is not christmas. Christmas is not winter. The world is cool right now, I will travel around and enjoy... and there is a psycho-crisis. Not a real crisis. They think outhere that we're in crisis, but no. You're what you think. More else, all the people isn't the same- some of them don't want to going home for your "christmas".

Stadistically the majority of population in US celebrate and mostly go home for their "Xmas". Enya releases this cd as Xmas and seasonal album. You can hear this track in many malls with traditional Xmas songs DESPITE it's a seasonal song; posibly this wasn't the primary intention of Roma Ryan. 1,500,000 jobs have been lost in middle of 2008 and WE'RE in recession according to National Bureau of Economic Research. I didn't realize Xmas is not winter and viceversa, thanks for clarify this :D.

that's according to your American Bureau, that's right according to your statistics. I don't live in America, so I'm not part of that mental crisis. I didn't lost my job and I just see christmas to pass... again and again. Be positive and you will see. Enjoy your christmas dinner. When you write "WE'RE" in recession, do you feel like a deeply part of it?

dluis1: That's the reason you consider this is a "menthal" crisis; 'cos you don't live here or feel the effects, so easy to talk. You have your job and your home safe, but when you work on a technology company and see how your partners are fired by crisis effect, you realize WE'RE in recession. Anyway the point here is Enya is giving something beautiful a Xmas album :) I'll certainly enjoy my Xmas dinner so much!! and I will raise my wineglass in your honor, Cheers!! :)))

Enya is my favorite artist. This is probably her 4th or 5th best song on this album. Hopefully she releases more videos and gets some airplay. My kids listen to her when they go to bed at night.

I love Enya. I don't love this song. It's simply missing the ethereal magic that makes her music listenable again and again. Buy the new album, though. There are a least a couple of new compositions that possess these qualities.

I have always liked her & her first 3 albums (especially the second "Watermark") are definitely the best. She had something new to bring to the table. She is at her best when she is downtempo, moody & introspective (a bit like dido). This feels like a song compostition that was "Forced" to have a fast tempo to make it commercial just because, a fast song is seen as the best way to launch an album.
Definitely an album artist (but please lose the cheesy cover songs next time).

I really loved the Watermark album, still do, but 20 years on this is just a weaker version of all the old stuff mixed into one. Wish she could come up with new ideas as she has a big following and talent.

I think that it's late for her trying to do something different as Enya herself, I mean... her fans would never accept it after so many years into a formula that she created and is also her trademark, but I think that Enya should create a paralel project with another name, and try experimenting new sounds, instruments and mixings. She could achieve new audiences without dismissing the old ones. She's very talented, she cannot throw away years of talent into just one kind of style.
