  • My worst Nightmare

  • could be a lot of things . . . (mostly sensors) . . i am also having an intermittant starting problem on my car . . i think its the MAP sensor . . . .

  • where do you get the code key

  • I wonder how you would diagnos why the general radiator fan and a/c fan would not work on a 1990 Chevy Lumina. Both relay switches are functioning but neither fan will turn on. The a/c fan should turn on the minute the a/c is turned on but it won't. A week ago the water boiled in the overflow container and the general radiator fan would not come on. Generally speaking the engine stays cool enough because I do not do enough stop and go driving in town and I have kept the a/c off when ideling.

  • i have a 91 lumina euro . . . my a/c does not work . . . but teh primary fan turns on when the engine reaches half+ mark in the temp gauge . . (225F) . . . i have neve seen the secondary fan turn on yet . . . i guess you may need to check the PCM/ECM . . .

  • Thank you for the reply. I was able to by pass the relay switches and discovered that the fan has gone out on the primary and the a/c fan is heading that way. It was buzzing and when I moved the fan it started to turn slowly at first and then after a time started to pick up speed. I am replacing the fan motors. I also had a question on what would cause the engine to surge after warm up. It is especially noticed when stopped at a stop light. The check engine light does not come on.

  • ok . . it turns out that this could be either

    1) TCC solenoid

    2) IGN module

    3) ECM

    4) Injectors out of spec

if the car is stalling after coming to a stop, it could be the TCC sol, if you have spark, but are missing injector pulse, have the IGN module checked at autozone . . . . also remove plenum and ohm all the injkectors . . .

  • THANK YOU!

  • Man!! is that so easy,, If I knew that i could saved 300$
