Well hello there MM. I just wanted to say "WOW!!". I have driven everybody mad since I was about 13 yrs old with this song, playing it over and over and singing it over and over lol. This has always been ONE of my fave MJ tracks. I just sang it on the top of my voice to your playing :) When John Meyer played at the memorial, I cried like a baby and let me tell you, you just brought me to tears too. STUNNING Mel and I particularly loved the part from 5:30 to the end. THAT was emotional!!!!

Amazing playing and that crunchy bass sound makes it all even better.

Do you mind sharing the effects, strings and of course the type of the bass that you have used for this clip? Again, really digging it :)

Actually...the strings are getting old...and were the cheapest set available. I guess the sound just comes from the filter I put the bass through....oh, and it's an Ibanez. The effects are a combination that I accidently ran into...but seems to be working good for me: high frequency eq, a little delay (ABOUT THREE ECHOES) and that's about it. I appreciate you asking...makes me feel like I am doing something right...ha ha ha!
