  • is this legal?? it looks like a non legal knife for civilians

  • @mineD032711 legal to own not to carry

  • @mineD032711 unless your law enforcement/millitary

  • you ask me to kill a man on the day of my daughters wedding ?

  • buy it of u

  • the godfather snapped out so fast i couldn't see that it was a switchblade^^

  • knife

  • how much is the pair?

  • there all very cooooool

  • i love the USMC, i would totally buy one if it were legal in New York state to buy..

  • quick question why would there be a usmc knife that is pretty much illegal to carry in 100% of the US? being that it is a switch blade...

  • @wakeupneo311 Actually IIRC, Automatic knives are legal in over half of US States, and also legal for Military, LEO and EMT's as well. Legal to own in some states does not mean legal to carry.

  • @breitlingsource oh wow really? hmm i wonder if its legal to own[not carry] in MD. do ya know?

  • @wakeupneo311 Wikipedia says yes, but I'm not an LEO or a Lawyer, so check yourself.

  • @wakeupneo311 Its not legal. So its illegal.

Switchblades cause up the most fear of all knives, and thats why they are banned. And please guys dont start anything with me saying they arnt the scariest. I dont care, thats the way its written k thanks.

  • @AntiChristClub its different state to state, i can carry a auto knife, but it has to have a blade under 2", and i can own any auto knife as long as it doesnt leave my house.

  • @wakeupneo311 I'm not sure how much you know about knife laws but if you are an active soldier in the military you can carry switchblades concealed or not concealed

  • Ahh bummer, I thought these were OTF knives up untill he opened them. OTF would deffinately be cooler with these two knives.

  • i would choose the smaller one

  • "Iraqi Freedom". What a laugh. I guess being invaded by foreigners and killed is the ultimate freedom.

  • @kensho3

the fact that its written on a switchblade is also a quite chuckle

  • @kensho3 NICE. It really sucks over there though, for everyone involved, especially the locals.

  • @kensho3 they killed taliban fighters. not innocent iraqi citizens.

  • @47lilwill did they let me ask are you a fuckin soldier or did you just watch that on cnn or nazifox which one im guessing cnn

  • I've never heard of any switchblade types being standard issue for military.

KA-BAR's classic fixed blade is the only one I've ever heard of and rightly so (7'' blade 1095 crovad) its a beast and soes whatever.

Everything else is commemorative or personal preference; they make alot of blade styles with military and tactical preferences in mind I actually have a couple.

  • its not standar issue, they let us in our unit buy some like these, ya know just in case, if we got them, we had an arm band that held it in place so we could take them out quicker

  • I'm a marine and you are right mostly. I was issued a SOG folding knife (automatic) along with my fixed blade. Also KABAR is not the only maker of our fixed blades. Like my standard issue was made by the Ontario knife company. The Ontario looks very very similar to the KABAR with the same blade steel. As of last year we no longer carry the leather wrapped handled "classic" although i have one theyre now all black rubberized handles. Just a heads up. Semper Fi!

  • Good to know, Semper Fi

  • Well the button makes it seem like at automatic knife, so you think it would be illegal, but I guess if theyre being distributed to the U.S. military then maybe not.

  • we have diferent regulations

  • Comment removed

  • Correct me if I'm wrong... Since they open out the side, i believe they are LEGAL. OTF (out the front) ones are ILLEGAL in most states

  • no. all switchblades are illegal (unless its california legal, the blade has to be under 2") but it is LEGAL to own. if you get cought possesing it in public you will get in trouble.

  • Lies....you can if youre military, law enforcement, or have a concealed weapons permit in a state that allows that which to my knowledge all states do. In which case if you have permit you can carry any size blade that you can "conceal" or a handgun.

  • Your right. These knifes are automatic, not switch so they're legal.

  • to bad switch blades are illegal in NY or i would get one

  • they aren't illegal, only restricted. if you don't plan on carrying it around in public, you can get one.

  • THat's scary.

  • what happens if it hold it the other way and press teh button?

    do you cut yourself??

  • It probably would jus not open until you moved your hand.

  • nah, because the blade is facing the other way, so the side that hits your hand is blunt. and it probably wouldnt even be able to open.

  • ok lol

  • yea it wouldnt because when you push the button no matter how your holding it the back of the blade would be hitting whatever is in the way.

  • I need one..... =0

  • does the bid one com out the top ore side

  • how much are these knives?

  • if you register a switch blade is it legal to own or just if your in the military.

  • In the US you have to be in the military or have a very hard to get license or have one arm :P

  • i also want those but in germany they are illegal :-(

  • beautiful knives

  • I have the same godfather without laser etching, do you know if those were limited run ? excelent knife though, Havent used it, but then I realy would hate to have to... theres only one purpose for this knife.

  • are switchblades legal in arizona?

  • They aren't legal anywhere except to military and police members, and only to active duty personnel. There is a federal ban. It's really pretty ridiculous when you consider they aren't any more dangerous than a decently made manual knife.

  • the blade comes from out the side, not the top. Most states they are legal to posses, some states its legal to carry i believe.

  • they are not legal anywheres witch i dont think is right because it is point less no matter what people will still carry them so whats the point on banning them most people are worried because the blade comes out fast but on most of those knifes they have a screw that you can make it go slower on them

  • Okay, to actually answer the question. Yes they are legal for possession AND you can carry it with you. The issue with permits, I don't know. But yes you can own a switchblade in Arizona.

  • butterfly, near the base. Benchmade. Quality Knives.
