This happened to me on my last trip to Disneyland. They told us that our rocket was out of fuel too and everything else was similar too except we did not walk over the track. Instead, we walked back to where the train first turned into the backstage train garage, entered a door where there were these black cages that had big objects that looked like computer servers or power transformers. We walked slightly uphill and through another door where we ended up where the first rocket is boarded.

We are Disney, and Walt Disney said it best..."we must always value the magic" So when ever you hear us spiel a comment, it's for a very good reason. We cast members take great pride in working there at either park and that's what keeps our guests coming back. No where and I mean no where will you ever see this at any other park. We do tell the truth, just in different ways.....

From what I know, it's normally a lap belt fail. But probably 9 years ago now, can't ever forget it. We come to the end and they don't let us off instead lets us pass, a lady was screaming "help him, help him" in one of the front cars, pull us off to this side thing and they take us off like nothing, while you can see this woman trying to help her husband.. more concerned about getting us off and out before helping someone. He had a heart attack on the ride and died. Amazing.

To be honest, if there is one thing in Paris' - and there is only one - then Space Mountain is it! I've done them and have impartial British views on the French and Americans... Don't take it to heart. It's not MUCH better, just slightly. And for everything else, there's America...!

Actually, the cast members believed there were too much cars on the ride, so they conveniently took out your car. I believe you took the LEFT side, which leads the car backstage.

@TheJmandude1 The one in Florida is one seat per row, but this one is in California Disneyland. They changed it quite a bit and they play surf music while the ride is going.

You didnt weigh too much ;-) the batteries that run the speakers must have been getting low, so the ride operator in the tower redirected the rockets to the storage facility. Essentiallly, it did run out of fuel.

I think the cast member was well trained on how to deal with the situation - not blame anything but make a joke like we're out of fuel or this is where rockets sleep, safely get everyone off the ride and get you back to the loading dock to ride again. I wish customer service went this well at the doctor's office.

@MrWutupman the brakes arent on the cart... they are on the track and they contract on to a long flat bar on the bottom of the train which is able to control the speed at which the ride is going to make its stop.

This happened to my ride as well. Generally they send the car back if a restraint is not fully closed.. for a fat person, or there is to much weight.. so if you end up back there.. blame the fat ass!

I like the Space Mountain Jacket but hate the paints and the Shirt . I like something more futuristic than that . Like using black leather paints like Elvis. With Captain Kirk or Benjamin Sisko shirts that they were on filming. Use more futuristic shoes. But the rocket was pull over in this video was rocket 9011-11 Rocket 11. Look on the back and front towards the right of the rocket there's the numbers.

Ha Ha Ha... I would have made it more of a ride. I would have had a whole team come in with hand helds and dark room with strobes,beeps and buzzes going on with mecinoid voice chiming " illegal cargo"!!! Must Quarantine... etc and then have the ride go on a track that breaks off and decends down into a room. Of course this is an old ride, but could be made 1 of 100 side ride ett for tech errors and added value. Easter Egg rides for better public draw. Shield area from cell coverage.
