  • This tutorial is incomplete, if you are dealing with more than one source of clips, i.e. one sequence embedded into another or multiple clips, YOU MUST PRIOR FLATTEN THE VIDEO. Otherwise Motion will open your footage as a "group" and you won't be able to see the option "frame blending" in the timing properties...

  • Frame blending is not showing up in my timing pane. Any suggestions? Motion V 4.0.3

  • when i do it, it only does it to a little bit of the clip. why?

  • Your final demo is step/step/step/step. It doesn't show an integration of the smooth motion.

  • what version of motion is this

  • @DannyAdamTV

apple motion 4, from fcp studio 3

  • back in final cut you see it go frame by frame, I didnt see the optical flow once it was back in final cut, but the same shitty final cut slow mo.

  • @SPQRGerman I saw the same. it doesnt make sense

  • great tutorial, thanks :-D

  • No way! Don't get me wrong it does take a little time, but the length of the entire video segment is what determines how long it will take to render. Whether your using a small portion of the segment or the whole thing FCP's optical flow analyzes the whole segment! So be aware of this, and pre plan when importing your footage.I hope this advise helps.

  • Provideoschool said 10secs took like 30 minutes, is that what yours took?
