@Zurround100 just say mike tyson prime vs. bruce lee prime. my opinion at the moment would be tyson, but thats because i dont know bruce lee besides his sort of crappy movies.
@Zurround100 I'd have to give it to the bruce leeish guy. Tyson only knows how to throw punches (and bite people's ears' off..) where as bruce lee was a well rounded fighter using a bunch of different styles and strikes. Plus. he was rated as having the fastest hands/feet in the world.Don't get me wrong, if tyson laid a hand on him, it would hurt if not kill bruce lee.
@Grevener The "killer punch" would have to happen EARLY in the fight. As the fight progressed the more tired Tyson gets or the more injured Tyson gets the less damage the punches will have. A badly beaten up Tyson might hit as hard as a primed bantamweight.
Man, it sucks that no matter how hard you train with a mid to low tier character, you will ALWAYS have a hard time against these "easy-to-use" and stronger characters with plenty of options.
It's matches like these that make me wonder if I should just keep trying or pick up someone else.
@vietnameseguy dude there is no tier, it only you that haven't reach that lvl yet. every character can win you just have to know how to play and read your opponent. even if they say that some character are bad against some, that don't mean you can't win. find new ways to fight them. it the player that makes the character not the other way around.
@1o2o3e Try to win as dictator vs a top guile, guile vs a top dhalsim, zangief vs a top sagat. Matchup charts exist for a reason. Why the hell do you think Daigo picked Guile vs. Mago? He didn't even want to deal with a 4/6 matchup in Fei's favour, and opted for Guile which is a 6/4 favour vs. all of Mago's characters (and Mago is rusty with Sagat, that is 5-5 if Mago is on top shape with SSF4 Sagat).
@vietnameseguy Tiers usually don't equal total wrecking in SSFIV. The game is not that unbalanced with only a few 7-3 matchups, most of them are 6-4 when they're bad. I don't know the matchup for Rog Vs Fei Long but ice0age is one skilled motherfucker. He outplayed Mago, clear and clean.
@4znBoiix A character like Fei Long is built to punish offensive players with his great pokes and mix-ups. This becomes a problem when he faces someone like Balrog, who can easily play VERY defensively and zone you out with safe normals, great anti-airs, and armor breaking moves. When Rog got Fei Long's health down to half in the first round, he seriously could've just backed off and let Fei Long kill himself.
Mago is known for switching characters when he fights Rog/Guile. Bad match-up for Fei
@4znBoiix However, this isn't so bad in AE, where all the defensive characters like Honda and Guile got nerfed to oblivion and the top tier characters are rushdown specialists, the exact kind of character Fei-Long is built for blowing up. The pro players in Japan all agreed that he's the best character in the game, because his bad match-ups got nerfed, and he matches up really well with the top tier.
@vietnameseguy lol these guys complain about rog's being such a hard match. u think they dont tear up avg rog's online? mago has played as rog for a bit im sure he knows the match up. it takes an exceptional rog to beat these guys, iceage is an exceptional rog as are pr rog and jsmaster. i guarantee mago and daigo dont lose to rog very often online, its just when a pro uses them they have a hard time, but that can be said about any pro with any char...
