  • Where can I find this version of the song for my Ipod?

  • Thank you for the history of this Carol. It is one of the truly great carols to come out of the US, along with "O little town of Bethlehem" which the Brits always stuff up by singing to a jolly tune that makes it trite and lacking in mystery. Thankfully Ralph Vaughan Williams didn't set this to a different tune, as well.

  • magos may bow wherever they want. I do not wanan bow, and do not wanna see anyone bowed. it's stupid. that's all. magos, maggots, nits and voltures. whatever to me. and rain is raining. anybody understood what I said ?? neither do i. that's just me, even "higher beings" do not understand me :) lol

  • ... It must be said: Our Dear Lord, with your cooperation, created a modern day masterpiece. Our blessed Lord Jesus is smiling at you and also is Mary and Joseph.May the BEST of the New Year come to You and Yours.

  • ... Thank You so much and may God Bless, Regards, Danny

  • This is God's art giving people great voices and the life of Jesus This will always be my fav. Christmas song!!!!

  • As a Christian I was awestruck when listening and watching this. Beautiful. God's hand was with you the day you made this. Thank you.

  • This is grand! Magnificent voices and talent, outstanding musicals and exquisite and inspiring art work, very moving crescendos, beautiful gift from Reverend John Henry Hopkins, Jr. I'm delighfully inspired, thanks for uploading and sharing with us this beautiful piece of art......feel Rejoiced!

  • REJOICE!

  • What a fabulous video and rendition of what has become a Christmas standard! Thank-you for presenting this so well! Merry Christmas!

    Dan

  • 5 star

  • This is the most important Of all Christmas songs in my opinion. Tells of the Humanity of this new born baby, tells of his purpose on Earth, His Kingship and the reason for his birth into the Human race. We can never explain all of the things that happened for that baby to have been born, to have survived and the end of his time on earth. Some don't believe because they can not accept that which they can not understand. Merry Christmas.

  • @mwwells72

yes, they just can't accept we're right can they? they're so blind. don't they know our beliefs are so much superior? . . . .really? the rest of what you said i agreed with though.

  • @NormbrettaMod Those who believe they can explain the birth of Christ without ever knowing his glory and his deeds are blind, yes. People are free to believe whatever they want, but someone who does not believe and tries to explain it is ignorant and blind. I believe that is what MwWells72 was aiming for, for this is the truth.

  • According to the History Channel the 3 kings didn't follow a star but a UFO!! Seriously!!

  • why cant they play good Christmas songs on the radio like this.... most of the songs are crap on the radio stations

  • @garebear1712 Yeah, a lot of the Christmas songs they play on the radio are downright depressing or just silly.

  • I kinda liked this version. I'm a bit confused though. Mathew 2:1-12 doesn't mention the three kings that "traveled so far". Also, why did they give gold, frenkinsense and manure. What could a baby do with these things? Hurry, I need to know

  • @TheCobalt100 myrrh, not manure and the lyrics explain why: gold as a symbol of kingship on earth, frankincense as a symbol of priestship, and myrrh as a symbol of death.

  • @TheCobalt100 It's not manure, it's myrrh. And the gifts symbolized who Jesus is/was and what he would do. Gold for the king of kings, frankincense for the priest of priests, and myrrh to honor the sacrifice made by the Son of God. Myrrh was used as a perfume when they wrapped dead bodies. Gold, well, it was just something that average people didn't have a lot of. And frankincense was used by levite priests during temple rituals.

  • @TheChristianFairy Okay, I realize that these gifts were symbols, but what on Earth is a baby to do with these things? Why didn't these kings bring him things like food, water and blankets. Looks like he's in need of a warm blanket. Are you really a fairy?

  • @TheCobalt100 Nope, just chose this name because I have a fondness for fantasy/mythical creatures and because of the fact that I am a Christian.

  • @TheChristianFairy We must be careful in associating with mythical/fantasy as Christians. They are inherently opposed to each other, as these things are pagan-based. It's like saying Christ and Satan can coexist within the same body. Christ produces miracles; the devil performs magic. God bless you and I hope you had a happy and holy Epiphany feast day.

  • @TheCobalt100 The Magi, pursuant to the custom of the eastern nations, where the persons of great princes are not to be approached without presents, present to Jesus, as a token of homage, the richest produce their countries afforded, gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Gold, as an acknowledgement of his regal power: incense, as a confession of his Godhead: and myrrh, as a testimony that he was become man for the redemption of the world.

  • @jrlomy2k But their far more acceptable presents were the holy sentiments and affections of their souls; their fervent charity, signified by gold; their devotion, figured by frankincense; and the unreserved sacrifice of themselves by mortification, represented by myrrh.

  • @jrlomy2k The divine king, no doubt, richly repaid their generosity by favors of a much greater excellency, the spiritual gifts of his grace. It is with the like sentiments and affections of love, praise, gratitude, compunction, and humility, that we ought frequently, and particularly on this solemnity, to draw near, in spirit, to the infant Jesus; making him an affectionate tender of our hearts, but first cleansed by tears of sincere repentance.

  • This is wonderful! I love the measured pace of the rendition, and the mature men's voices is delicious!

  • One of my favorite holiday songs, thank you. :)

  • What a beautiful, traditional version of this song!

  • Comment removed

  • is a painting!!??

  • love this song, this version is amazing...and the pictures of camels are beautiful. I love camels, I think they're cute.

  • @jessiewhisper They speak highly of you too!

  • Whoa, that bass melody part at around 3:30...totally did not see that coming. Fantastic. :D

  • This is the best version on youtube-- I just finished looking. The slow tempo is necessary. And when the chorus comes in, oh man... it feels like I am lifted out of my body a little bit. And I can picture the whole Earth looking up in awe at the Sky.

  • This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful versions I've ever heard of this song.

  • such a nice song about Orion's Belt.

  • I remember this hymm was playing on our way home from Christmas Eve at my aunt Mary's house in the country. It was dark, I looked up at the cold starry sky and saw the star of the East. I watched it all the way home..beautiful memory!

  • @MagicMaker7

When Revelation says "they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.", it means if they believed in Jesus Christ as their Savior, and those who don't will truly be held accountable for their sinful deeds, and will be thrown into the lake of fire. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you wil be saved and have your name written in the Book of Life, simple as that.

  • Gold for He shall be Crowned as King.

Frankincense for He shall be Worshiped as a God.

Myrrh for He shall be Buried as a Man.

  • Nice vid. But there was no such birth. I think it is all a myth.

  • i think it would be so much nicer sans oboe! Sorry sounds like a cartoon and this is too epic for that...

  • This is the perfect tempo. It needs to be slow, deep and dramatic. I literally have goosebumps.

  • Excellent rendition man. Of all the version of this song on youtube I feel that this is the only one I can find that does it Justice.

  • @I8hell

I know this might sound CRAZY but whoever you are man, something tells me that people like you are WORTHY in my humble prayers. It doesn't matter whether you are a believer or not. If there is ANY good in you at all, that still counts.

  • THANK YOU

  • ....MagicMaker7.. I'm a bit late on the draw, however I want to THANK YOU with the depths of my sincerity for such a Beautiful Redention of my favorite Christmas song. ...

I commented previously, but when I got home today after being away for almost 2wks,

and this came up on my fave's list, I just had to say thank you again.. Such Reverence and Beauty is vanishing and i'm so

grateflul that ARTISTS such as your self are still here for us... God Bless!!! Signed, Daniel Carroll

  • @time2act1001

I owe you an apology for not responding to you in return. I have no excuses at all. I am very much contented that you have enjoyed my video. You have no idea how satisfied I am to hear such kind words from you. Let me tell you something: Whoever you are, my heart tells me that you are WORTHY in my humble prayers. And will always REMAIN so. You know what they say, "DON'T make promises you CAN'T keep". God Bless you. Signed, Armando

  • @MagicMaker7 Are not the ones that are least worthy of the love of God, due to sin, the most in need of our prayers? I'm certainly not implying that the people you indicated should not be prayed for! On the contrary all men and women need our prayers! I just thought the way you said it was odd, as if someone could NOT be worthy of our prayers...

  • @Murlocsftw1

Whoever you are, believe me, I TRIED to pray for all of my enemies including satanists, cult members, the Klu Klux Klan, murderers, rapists, zoophiles, pedophiles, perverts, pychopaths and Christians. Why? Because I wanted to do what Jesus said about loving and praying for your enemies so that they may be saved. But every time I pray for them, It feels completely AWKWARD and perfercty WRONG.

  • @Murlocsftw1

This is going to sound CRAZY but an angel of the lord told me in my dream to pray for good people and children ONLY.

  • Ponderosa.

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain

Gold I bring to crown him again

    Frankincense to offer have I,

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume

    Oh, oh, oh

star of wonder, star of light

    star with royal beauty bright

    westward leading, still proceeding

guide us to the perfect light..,

  • I have often wondered why the Mormon Tabernacle choir sings these songs, since they beleive Jesus is only a prophet and not the son of God, plus they do not beleive in the Trinity.

  • @jcapist

Of all the religions out there in this world of sin: Judasim, Methodism, Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christianity, etc. They have all BUT one thing in common: None of them are perfect. Obviously I wouldn't recommend Judasim because they simply don't believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. And I SERIOUSLY wouldn't recommend Christianity. What in heaven's name is WRONG with them? They act like they're the greatest religious race in the entire world. That is PRIDE.

  • @MagicMaker7 If you don't believe that the religion you practice is the one true faith, no matter which religion it is, why should anyone else believe it along with you. No, you must believe that your religion is correct. But, then there's the fact that the truth is objective; It is not simply true because we believe it's true, just as something is not wrong simply because I believe it's wrong, there needs to be facts, evidence to establish truth. Now, brother or sister, which faith is true?

  • @Murlocsftw1

Listen, I want you to know what is the primary bible that I am currenty reading. it's called the Holy Bible Updated New American STANDARD Bible. It is the REAL, ACTUAL Bible itself with modern vocabulary words to make it easier to understand. It has absolutely nothing to do with Judaism, Catholicism, Methodism, Roman Catholicism, Parish, and thank heaven's it's NOT a Christian bible. It simply includes the Old and New Testaments.

  • @Murlocsftw1

Speaking of faith, one of the most NEGATIVE quotes I've ever read is in Ephesians 2:8 - 2:10:

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

  • @Murlocsftw1

Here is my honest answer about those quotes: THEY DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE. If we're NOT saved by good works , then WHY does Revalation talk about this? It's in the Judgment at the Throne of God: 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened,

  • @Murlocsftw1

which is the book of life; and the dead were JUDGED from the THINGS which were written in the books, according to their DEEDS. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were JUDGED, every one of them according to their DEEDS.14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

  • @Murlocsftw1

15 And if ANYONE'S name was NOT found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

DEEDS and WORKS mean the SAME thing.

  • Beautiful. It moved one of my daughters to tears, it touched her so much. Thank you for this. :)

  • @FatalWidget

I am very pleased to hear that. Whoever you and your daughter are, my heart tells me that you two are WORTHY in my humble prayers and will always REMAIN so. You know what they say, "Don't make promises you can't keep". It doesn't matter whether people are believers or not. If there is ANY good in them, that still counts :)

  • My church sang this on the Epiphany of Christ (Day after New Years Day)

  • This tale of pointing star!!!!How low near the Earth was this famus star? A hundret feets? Two hundret? Mersy .....

  • MagicMaker7... This is my favorite Christmas carol and has been since I was a child.

I needed to get out of myself and I thought of youtube... and to find "We Three Kings."

This was the third I tried out and I've been nothing short of mezmerized. What a beautiful production you have create and God in Heaven is smiling doun upon you.

Thank You, and may I wish you a Very, Very Merry Christmas and the Best of New Years with many more to come, Sincerely Yours, Daniel Carroll

  • This is one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard, and considering this is one of my favorite Christmas songs, that's saying something. Well done.

  • King forever, ceasing never!

  • we three kings of orient are.........the 3 stars in the belt of Orion, following the star Sirius to herald us to the perfect light...........the rebirth of the Sun

  • One of my favorite ones next to Silent Night. Thank you. Makes Christmas away from home a little more bearable.

  • @goldenhide

I am satisfied to hear that my friend. I know this is going to sound CRAZY but whoever you are, something tells me that you are WORTHY in my humble prayers. I'm not hearing voices for heaven's sakes. It doesn't matter whether you're a believer or not. If there is any good in you, that still counts. And that goes for the rest of the world :)

  • One of the most gorgeous renditions I have ever heard!

  • I love the king who sings at 3:14. The other kings must have been like, "Dude, what?"

  • IT IS TO SLOW

  • @champyx86 ....just your speed. so why complain?

  • i know there are four kings the one just tear apart of them so that hes gone now there are 3 kings

  • i know there are four kings the one just tear apart of them so that hes gone now there are 3 king

  • It's not that complicated... love the man and the teacher... leave the Dogma until you know 4 sure... at which point you will have died.

  • All praise be unto the prophet Jesus Christ.

  • @Vulpecula101 Prophets die. He is risen!

  • @olDRAKElo Jesus was a prophet (Duet. 18:18) in the fact that he accurately made claims about the future (Matthew 24, John 13:38, John 12:21, Mark 10:38...), but he is also our King and priest forever (Heb. 7:28)....

  • I strongly prefer the hymns out of all the Christmas music out there, and by choirs at that. Although BlackHawk did a really great cut of this one.

  • What choirs sing it?, it is a very moving and incredibly beautiful rendition of this song, and the artwork is also fantastic. You made it look as if it was the scenario for an opera or even an oratorio. Thanks!!!

  • @lamepiemujer, If you read the information, the choir that sings this song is performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I'm glad you're contented with this great rendition of mine :)

  • Lovely.

  • This is beautiful.

    <333

  • Nice artwork, too. I love good Christian painting.

  • nicely done!

  • Thank you for the wonderful visualization

of this marvelous carol! Beautiful, in-

    spirational singing! Splendid work!

  • I like the we three kings theme. I have always loved the song.

  • Your pleasure is my reward :)

  • Perfect.

  • Great job on your video its magnificent, I have been looking for this song all over Youtube. Thank you for bringing it to me.
