It's probably a Catalytic Converter Clogged. That happened to me but I didn't have any white smoke at all. My car sounded exactly like yours. It stalled and the exhaust pipe was shaking.
@NomadicClan wrong answer big guy just because the tail pipe shakes does not mean its broken, every car will shake the tail pipe, they are only hanging by rubber hangers just like every car.
