I don't know why, but for some reason watching this scene three times, and then watching kikyo's voice get butchered 2/3, makes me wanna kill myself (O_O)
It should be noted that the actresses, who voice Kikyo in the Japanese and English versions, also voice members of the Tendo family in "Ranma 1/2". Noriko Hidaka voice Akane Tendo. Willow Johnson voiced Akane Tendo's oldest sister, Kasumi.
I love Willow Johnson's interpretation of the character. The serious tone adds another level to a great character.
P.S. to Kagome: Kikyo's hatred is completely justified, since she saw Inuyasha KILL HER! (It was really Naraku in disguise.)
bueno en realidad prefiero la version original, pues se puede sentir lo que esta sintiendo , pero en los demas como que le cambian al estilo de la voz correcta
I like the Japanese voice so much better then the english *_* the english voice like an 35 - years old womans voice, and kikyo is only 17 years old... the japanese voice has so much power and really feels like ''kikyos voice'' I love how Noriko Hidaka did kikyos voice in the inuyasha final act, especially in final act 10 when she said ( in japanese ) ''Inuyasha,Let us go together '' *_*
@MangaGirlSweden I totally hear you on Hidaka; she's my favourite out of the three and I love that she's very versatile in the role. In episode 10 of final act she sounded just like her Ranma 1/2 character, Akane, in that line that you mentioned. :)
I like noriko hidakas performance but in my opinion she sounds too old to be kikyo.
The spanish was horrible to me even though i understand and speak it. WIllow Jonson was the perfect match, she is an amazing voice actress and her perfromance was flawless. Best voice actress in the ocean group.
i like the japanese and english versions. i hate the english haters tho. both i personally think are awsome. japanese sounds more mysterious yet caring at times which i like, english sounds more graceful yet mysterious at times
I loved Willow Johnson's performance as Kikyo. She was so cold in her delivery, which matches Kikyo perfectly. In my opinion, she was the best dub VA in InuYasha.
kikyo's english voice is horribleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Ò.ó the spanish one is the besttt!!!! georgina sanchez is the bestt!! in second place the jappanese voice, and i 3 place, the english one.. although is horrible..
Hmmm..I guess I'll be the first to say that out of the three, I really loved Noriko Hidaka's delivery the most for the fact that she sounds so intimidating and threatening in this scene, it's absolutely brilliant. I liked Willow's delivery second for the fact that she says the most insane lines in the most sane voice possible, it's kind of scary. :)
I like kikyo's english voice better 'cause she sounds more graceful and i like the spanish/latin voice 'cause that language i also understand it and the words are stronger..
japanese fucking great!
eng dub old woman sorry
spanish si ta bien =)

@aGirl465 I can assure you that Willow Johnson (Kikyou) and Katey Sagal (Leela) are two completely separate people living in separate countries. :)

I like all of them but I wish the spanish voice sounded more older cause it sounds like a 14 year old is talking.
WSanTSanE 6 months ago
@WSanTSanE truth, kikyo is 17 years so it's OK that they put the word in Spanish. in English appears as a woman of 40

The portuguese (brazilian) version should be here included. It was awesome. anyway, the best is Noriko´s Hidaka. She is a genius!

@orulyon2 I couldn't find the Portuguese version of this clip or I would have included it, but I do agree with you on Hidaka! She is genius. :)

hidalgoalcielo1000 1 year ago 2
me gusta el apones y español el ingles no

Also, I have so much respect for Hidaka-san, since she also plays Akane in Ranma 1/2
Don't usually watch dubs, but it sounds good. =)
