Some friend Jaquesimo is; first he abandons poor Thumbelina to fend for herself, then when she saves him, he is so busy rambling about his belief in following your heart that he doesn't even notice Thumbelina's obvious heartbreak at hearing him talk about Cornelius! With friends like that, it's a miracle she didn't die before the wedding!

Kinda reminds me of Frankenstein's creature. Mostly because we're reading the book in school, but there is the same misunderstood pain thing going on.
