When I enter a melody into the piano roll and make it more than 4 bars long, the drums stop playing during the loop... How do I fix this???

@MrGRVL easy dont go over 4 bars lol or (i think this is what you want) just add the drum pattern on the playlist and then just put it as many time as you want like a 8 bar loop or 16, how ever you chose to... then make the melody on a different pattern like #2 or whatever and there you go

@MrGRVL Hey since QStormItch didn't really give you the easy answer; there's a little square button with a kind of 'return' or 'reverse' icon at the upper-left corner of the Step Sequencer. When you press it, it should loop the non-pianorolled notes.

@MrGRVL I think I know what you mean... there is a little button next to how many beats you want in your drum pattern... for 4 bars there'll be 16 beats?... next to that theres a button you can press... that replays your drum pattern whenever its finished and your piano roll is still playing. Hope you understand this, if not just inbox me and I'l try explaining a little more.

Got a quick question cuz I can't seem to find this anywhere. Say I do a melody with a bass inside FL, but halfway through one measure, I want the bass note to stop and not let ring till it dies out, how do I control this?

@neuroxik you have to re word that because you lost me unless its as simple as i think, but im not sure what you meant

but if im thinking right click on the bass to pull up the channel settings, click "ins", then "vol" then adjust the wave length so its flat on the wall and has a short roll off meaning it will cut the note and not ring out

i just need some help with the piano roll. I record live with my keyboard and i want to touch up on some notes that sound a little off rhythm. But the piano roll only lets you move one box over, and sometimes it lets you move the notes anywhere...i just want to know how to keep it so i can move the notes anywhere not just box to box...its a confusing question, but thats the only way i can put it. any help would be nice.

@mrtomdabomb40 actually its a very easy/common question... look for a "magnate" that says snap, by default it should be on "cell" meaning one box or one beat...so simple move it from "cell" to "none" and you are good to good

i have a problem, when i record live from the keyboard the velocity of the notes are all exactly the same, like it dosent look like i note clicket the notes if u look at the lengh and placement and etc,cus i have it in CELL but if u look at the velocity its all the same line,

@QStormItch Yeah, or you can also go to the wrench (piano roll tools), randomize ... , then velocity. It makes it sound more human, and you can adjust the velocity levels from there.

Select and the notes and press Ctrl+c (copy), Move to the end of the loop and press ctrl+v (paste) and you will see it repeat

You should open your samples within FPC. This will allow you to place them within the Piano roll for FPC.

I just thought of a good use for the slide. Let's say you have a note playing but you want it to fade out nicely, not stop abruptly. Instead of using automation all you gotta do is make a slide note with velocity of 0% (no sound) and put it over the same note. how long or short you make it will determine the length of the fade out.

how do i make it so the note isnt fixed to a square in the grid? i want 2 snares in one square, but the second one about a quarter way in to the square so it sounds like two arms hitting it. i used to be able to but now the notes all fit exactly into the squares and i cant budge them.. what do i do?

I can answer toms question tho, on the piano roll, look on top where it says "piano roll" and to the left will be a square button that has a picture of squares in it and when you move your mouse over it and look to the top left of the program it will read "snap to grid" click on that and the closest you can get to putting the note wherever you want it is the "1/6 step". I hope that answered your question, if not we both just wasted our time haha

Highlight all the notes with the selector tool then copy and paste... copy= Ctrl+C,

Paste= Ctrl+V... or you can use the playlist feature
