I do not even know who this man is, but I sure do hear the fountain of truth that pours from his lips. I have had a beard for most of my adult life. So I conform to evolutions law rather than societies invented fashion. We search for the meaning of life, but we distort its foundation so we don't feel human. Same goes with women shaving legs and arm pits. The more you change, the less human you become, the stranger life is. Most survive in a distorted world only because they are surrounded with people equally distorted perceptions, behaviours and appearances.

This is a very interesting topic. I'm currently in a Sociology as part of a program I'm in, and we discuss things like this at length in class. We talk a good bit about how people are conditioned from birth by society, and we discuss why and how society affects people the way that it does... though of course it's largely opinions, assumptions and speculation. It's interesting to see how varied the human race is, and how much we've change physically and spiritually.

They do not cut their hair, because of the energy it holds within. By shaving and cutting hair, they are removing a part of their physical being, and therefore removing an "energy" of some sort. I am not sure if they clip there nails or not, but I have never seen a Yogi or Mystic with long fingernails. This is a very simple explanation to a more complicated practice, obviously. If I am way off base, please feel free to correct me.

@ltsgoyanks Hello, Energy is in you or you are the energy. It is not only in the beard or nail. If you cut the hair or nail it doesn't mean that you are dead. The matter of fact is, it doesn't matter how much length your beard is? How much you know about yourself!!!! Why we want waste our time about researching his beard :) lets move on....
