I didn't like this at first. Then read the comments and your responses, and you have well and truely justified this version....and now I really like it. Very soothing. Well done pal!
This somg should be bluessy.... Chord structure is completely wrong!!!! Nice rhodes. Please listen to the original recording or take some theory lessons to learn how to approach this song correctly
@titus4ya Thing is: I'm a musictheoryteacher now and I believe there's nothing wrong with changing chords when a pentatonic melody is sung. I even teach other musicians that it's possible to do that. You may or may not like it, but that is taste. It has nothing to do with musictheory if you like it or not. Some people just don't like songs they know being changed that much. Allthough I can play the 'normal' version, I liked it better this way - just a other point of view for this song!
@titus4ya IF YOU FEEL IT, IF YOU ENJOY IT, THEN ITS ALL GOOD, ITS JUST MUSIC AFTER ALL, I'M NOT FEELING THAT CHORD PROGRESSION, AND I THINK WITH MORE WORK IT COULD BE WAY BETTER, BUT LOOK AT IT, (peterhuismanonline) IS ENJOYING PLAYING IT THAT WAY AND THAT ALL THAT MATTER, MUSIC, FREE EXPRESSION !!!!!! EASY TO WRIGHT SOMETHING ON YOUTUBE , BUT HARDER TO POST A VIDEO WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL!!

Here again to hear you playing. Amazing timbre. Touchy! Will try to cover it in here. Sadly i cannot see your fingering so well from this point of view, but, makes it tricky to get it all. will try to follow my instincs and ears
@andrecarioni haha i thought you said "peter andre talking" i was like.. i doubt peter andre would be able to even find a video with musical talent like this on youtube!
Very refreshing an interesting. I guess you must have seperated the vocals somehow. What I really want to know is how you got your hands on that beautiful Rhodes!
I bought the Rhodes from a friend/ex-teacher from school. He used to take it on the road, but when he quit the band he decided to sell it to me (because he had a Rhodes Mark I suitcase, Wurlitzer and Yamaha CP70). When I bought it I had to take it apart and clean it, I tuned it and made it sound how I wanted it to.
thats good man. never stop studying:) i've been playing drums for about 15 years myself and actually just started studying last year:) i also play guitar, 2 years... and started teaching myself the piano for the last few monthes now.
nice playing man nice rhodes too.do you have those chords written down on paper love to get a copy.

hellay peter, andre talking.
let me ask you: i am very attracted to your timbre on the rhodes mk2
let me ask you what is the setup on this one, i mean, any FX ? sounds a heavy reverb...
thanks for letting me know...i will try to add the fx youll mention, in order to get a better sounding e-piano here in my homestudio.
here i do most of the time a chorused rhodes..but you timbre, man, DA BOMB
andrecarioni 2 years ago
Hello Andre!
I have to tell you, I don't use any fx! It's really a Rhodes MkII direct input in my Phonic Firefly (Firewire soundcard).
I did change the placement of the pick-ups for every tine. I also changed the height of the tines.
Try, if you really want to change the sound of the rhodes, to replace the pick-ups, but do it one at the time!!
Good luck!!
peterhuismanonline 2 years ago
ah okay, thanks for your fast reply.
ah ok so this super timbre is a straight rhodes one. got it.
unfortunately in brazil those pieces cost a damn lot thus i cannot afford.
what i use in here is a VSTi (virtual) instrument.
i will try to move the tine around and the pickups also (the software have all those changeable settings!!!) in order to sound more close like yours.
many many thanks for your response

Tof, ik vind alleen die stopjes die je af en toe herhaalt minder, haalt een beetje de groove eruit.
