I see. I respect your opinion, but I think it sucked balls. All you do is fight monsters, the crafting system is way too simplified. Character development halts after a certain point. The battle system had flair, but no substance. More of a maintenance system. The plot sucked and ended with a deus ex machina.

They really should have released all the supplemental material over here, so the world would make more sense) and the characters showed good development (it halted halfway through because they finally got over their glaring problems). Hell, Sazh was the best character in a FF game since... Shadow? And I never saw people's complaints about the battle system.

They don't complain about the battle system because they don't know what a good 1 is. Its like 3D. After you take off the glasses you notice the jaggies and that it looks like shit. Plot wasn't hard to follow, just filled with loop holes all over the place(If ole barty didn't give him his owl ship they would've been stranded!) Sazh was comic relief, also triumph over an issue does not warrant a cease of development.

Maybe IGN rates a 6/10 as fair But I rate it as base mediocrity.

@InflatableVampire Well, I had to try quite a few times before I could beat him before the score fell to 1000 (which is pretty harsh really, but it's the requirement for a 5), and I had to keep replaying levels (I ran through the Battle Room a few times quickly) to get max power ups, then took him on. If it looked like I was about to die, I'd quit so I wouldn't lose any fire power. I have this "strategy" I use that works (if I'm playing good enough at the time) for each form that is very fast.

@MightyJetters First form, I throw a bomb at him immediately, then when he dashes at you run out of the way, let him dash again then turn around and throw another bomb at him (I always try to get a second bomb in when he pauses after dashing but it doesn't always work, needs good timing). If/when he warps, try to stay a good distance away from him so he'll stop upon his first return and won't keep warping and wasting your time and then throw another bomb at him, and repeat until the second form.

@MightyJetters 2nd form, as soon as he flies up run to the center and stand there and try to watch which corners have dust rings on them and run to the corner that's clear (a bit annoying with the camera), and just jump up and spam bombs (try to aim though, it's tough) at all three until you hit the correct one (and try to stay away so you won't blast your face). Avoid the electric attacks he/they'll be chasing you with and just try to hit all 3 flying screens 'til you get it. Takes practice.

@MightyJetters 3rd is hardest, run in circles around him (while keeping decent distance) to avoid the missiles, then as soon as they're gone stop and throw 1 bomb at 1 arm and 1 at the other, then back away because he'll hit you with one of them shortly. If it's the claw just run away while avoiding missiles. If it's the gun, find a nearby corner and stand a lil' bit away from the edge or so and you won't be hit (don't do what I did a few times and fall off). Then repeat. As said, it'll be hard.

@MightyJetters Finally, when his shield is gone, keep running around dodging missiles, and when the last one's about to hit the ground, try to quickly turn towards him and jump and toss a bomb at his face (staying away so you won't be hit), then keep running. Try to learn how long he flashes before he's hittable again as it will help your time. When you get to the last form your score will be getting low so you'll have to make each throw count. If your score hits 1000 or too close, restart.
