@TheDM75 Bay oversees the writing process as well on his movies, so most of the time, the bad writing is his fault. And I've had experience directing, and taken film courses. He's still a horrible director. I can name a million other filmmakers who do the same type of movies he does, and do it a MILLION times better.

@JesterHopperpot1 Actually no other director has so many action as him. And there's a VERY long difference between taking film courses and directing a giant movie like Transformers everyday for weeks. There are better directors than him but he's good at what he does: Action.

@TheDM75 To be good at action, you need to SEE the action that's going on. He uses way too much shaky cam (one of the reasons why his movies are so annoying to watch).

I can name alot of action directors who are better than Micheal Bay: John Carpenter (does horror as well, but did alot of great action flicks), John Woo, Quentin Tarantino (not primarily an action director, but he's made Chop-Saki movies, which is a sub-genre of action) etc...

Don't get me wrong, I love some of Bay's action movies like the 1st Transformers, The Island and The Rock...but Transformers definitely devolved into mindless action and Bay's orange/blue palette is just mind-numbingly annoying. Nolan is far superior.
