  • And how do you measure AC (Alternating Current) amperage? I'm trying to measure appliance's current and my meter doesn't seem to work (maybe because it says it measures DC amperage only?).

  • the particle flow is from negative to positive. However in every electrical engineering course the schematics of a DC circuit will show the flow from the DC power supply starting at the positive terminal & returning at the negative. Conventional current blah blah blah. It's this kind of stuff that makes elec. engineering students insane.

  • im measuring amps thru a shunt, can you help?

  • Amplitude modulation uses hydrogen (metal) as it's antenna. The station tower and it's antenna makes the contact based on wattage.

  • The best video I've seen on this for beginners out there. No crap filler in your tutorial.

  • does everyone buy fluke? i buy chinese shit.

  • @Thetruthishere11 haha. I just bought a radioshack version for $30. works like a beauty so far. Wish I had a fluke though

  • Nice video, but electrons flow from the negative side, not the positive side of the battery. A common mistake

  • @ctressler02 I've always struggled with Convention vs Electron current description of charge movement, so I know what helichair meant to say. I especially liked his technique of using the 10 amp scale first, then switching to the 300 ma scale to get better accuracy. Good Job on video!! RL

  • @ctressler02 Yeah, I think everyone knows.

  • @ctressler02 "current" flow in the practical world is, in my opinion, best conceptualized as positive to negative. there are a few reasons, thinking of voltage like the pressure in a hydraulic system is a physical "equivalent" method and thus + to - flow makes "sense". also, when dealing with diodes the forward bias makes more sense with current "flowing" + to - rather than the inverse. i should have been more careful when saying "electrons flow from the + terminal...."

  • Concise and very informative. Thanks very much for taking the trouble to share your knowledge.

  • salut jaime bien avoir un multimetre fluk vous pouve envoyer par courie
