whistler bike park is awesome although i wouldn't say its the best riding in the world like some say as there are other places like utah for mountain biking which you just can't find in canada. THe closest i have found to utah in looks in canada is drumheller in alberta

@Batman6870 It's the GLC Drop at the bottom of the park (called that because it's next to the Garibaldi Lift Co.) and as 999AssassinShadow said, yeah you can avoid it. Heaps of trails merge/finish just above there.

hey, i now ride an front-only suspension, loose feet bike. when you go riding in parks like this you need front and back suspension and those pedals that click into your shoes right? (not good at english i know:p)

ya, that's what I was thinking Markowina. Except for that one jump onto log ride, it seemed rather simple. But the difference maker is their style was a lot better than mine would be. The technique needed to pull those jumps off with that smoothness is why they're good.

i liked whistler bike park but i would of liked to of found some more smoother trails in the park. I still think some of the most enjoable biking i have ever done is in fruita and moab utah. im sure you'll agree these are all great places to ride. In some ways i think colorado is better than bc in someways for non bikepark type riding.

That's 'Dirt Merchant', 'Smoke & Mirror's and a couple of other trails at the Whistler Bike Park. You're better off with a fullsuspension bike, and you can easily rent a DH bike on site if you don't have one... but some of the very skilled locals can be spotted on hardtails on some of the smoother trails :-) Generally, the trails are VERY well maintained - and if you're looking for a more adventurous ride you can always helibike on the deserted Mt. Rainbow next door :-)

Man, I Rode my 09 Norco Manik this summer on those trails. It's totally "doable" but hard on the knees...
