The Garland record in parts followed the Anderson version almost note for note, including the scat! But Roger Edens did add special material for Garland and encouraged her to be a jazz singer here and she surely was.

Ivy Andersson sang it in the Marx brothers film "A day at the races" (The Swing) long before Judy sang it. Ivy was greater in my mind. Not that Judy was bad but "all Gods Chillun" suited Ivy better.
