well actually it wouldnt be able to go back into the gun cuz to make a fire you'd need oxygen which wouldnt be present in the small narrow opening. but the thing is that the gas can get all over the outerpart of the gun which could lead into the supersoakers tank which would blow up in your face if the flame traveled on the trail of gas but its not likely unless your tank runs out of gas. then the barrel/tank would be full of oxygen and then bad shiz would happen
