Short of moving from Winnipeg to Grand Forks ND, or from Montreal to Plattsburgh NY, the only way around this is to get a grey market Dish Network dish that receives the TV5 MONDE signal being beamed directly from Paris to the United States without interference from Quebec. It's pathetic that they have better access to French-language European TV in North Dakota than we have in a supposedly French-speaking country that boasts the world's second largest francophone city after Paris. What a joke!
@kinoreklame which is another way from Quebec to get their own signal, another way from them to get separated from the rest of Canada.
Actually I think TV5 Monde is broadcasted all around the world, on every continents... except one place in the world ha sa "different" TV5... QUEBEC. Dammit!
This clip is great because it clearly shows what we in Canada have lost. They boast that TV5 is TV with a 'caractère européen', that it's a little bit of 'Europe en Amérique du Nord', and they market the channel as 'Eurotélé'. They even used to broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest for goodness sake! Now, thanks to ever-growing francophobia in Quebec, TV5 Quebec is a shell of its former self, showing the same kind of Quebecois shows that are on every other francophone channel in Canada.
