Lee was the greatest piano player for his time. He knew what the listener wanted and gave it to them. He was the best performer for his time. Too bad that he did not live longer and played on some of the newer piano's, the sound only gets better. No other like him and his playing will live on.
He had quite an excellent technique. Interestingly, he played from the hand knuckles rather than from the fingers per se. Very few pianist can achieve this - look at Michelangeli's hand movement and you'll see what I mean.
@Willhur881 - to be blunt, it's stupidity. Here in Phoenix a whole neighborhood hates poor people. They falsified a zoning complaint to stop a church from feeding breakfast to poor people on Saturday mornings!
@DingoHunterDan And WHY do you care so much? And for the record he used to get letters from women that wanted to marry him,so plenty of women wanted him
I'd like to suggest my favorite pianist/keyboardist for you. He is the keyboardist for my faovrite progressive rick band Dream Theater. He is also one of the greatest pianists to ever live, accepted into Juliard at age 14 Jordan plays some of the most beautiful piano on earth. Copy and paste the information below and see for yourself. Let me know what you think.
God bless....

@Andjiokaja Joscho Stephan i far from flamboyant. He is German, and as most Germans he is not very juicy. Besides Gypsyjazz is not the scene for Liberace-like shows.
Liberace first played this work complete in 1940 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Frederick Stock. Hearing this 'Reader's Digest' version makes me wish I'd heard the real thing from him. Still he probably made the right career decision - certainly financially!
Yes indeed - we did get to see him live, and that was about 18- 24 months before his untimely death. It was an experience I personally will never forget, and his interaction with the Audience at the Melbourne Concert Hall was something to be seen. He had a genuine smile and was always happy playing before and audience - even if there were only ten people in the room, and I might add he had a wicked sense of humour which sadly doesnt always show up n many of his recordings.
Yes indeed, we saw him live in performamce at the Mebourne Concert Hall in 1985. Tockets were $100 for the best seats in the house adn thats waht we paid. Well well worth every Dollar spent. Memories that will go with me to my grave
Pianopera, Listz was one of the most melancolic and brilliant musicians of all time.... type ''La Campanella''... and you'll see what that guy was made of... regards!
The unique tune that comes out of his playing is due to the piano. They're all Baldwins by design. Another pianist who prefers it rather than Steinway is Earl Wild.
Squire of Gothos.

Franz, Liszt, who was he? A famous Hungarian composer born in 1811? Use the Wikipedia site and look him up.
