Ah, what a very interesting take, a treble boy soloist instead of a female soprano. There's something about the treble that I like better than the soloist, a quality in the boy's voice that isn't heard in a woman's.
I sang this piece recently for the Oregon Bach Festival and had the privilege of working with a wonderful soloist, Maria Jette. This sounds good.
Maybe it's the recording, but I think the treble singers were a little too loud though, they overpower the lower singers.
I agree although I love some female voices; Katherine Jenkins for example.
Many women use toomuch vibrato. Possibly it is the training of the voice.
Some boys who continue a career into adulthood lose something important. A good example is Robertino who as a boy had a natural singing voice with a quality that just cannot be taught.Aled

And about the cute faces,yes they are beautiful,and there´s no problem in admire their beauty as a whole,after all,the same art they sing came from the same inspiration that created their angel faces,God,the artist breathing in our soul
