She's done a few covers of classic rock songs, but can also make a new song work. Best examples come from her newer albums, like One Heart and Taking Chances - stuff from the last 10 yrs. Give it a shot.

Superb opening track of one of my fave albums of all time. That's largely due to the four best tracks on the album which were produced by Christopher Neil (here singing backing vocals with Celine and Paul Bliss, who wrote the song). Other tracks were produced by David Foster. Everyone's heard of Foster of course, but Chris Neil is not so well known. Pity! A skilled craftsman.

I could not agree with you more. Chris Neil is an incredible calibre of producer. If I remember correctly he also produced Jennifer Rush in the late 80ies.  Both his as well as Rick Wake's productions I thought shaped and created Celine's early sound (amongst other acts). I guess tastes and sounds change with time and maybe those producers did not manage to deliver what was required any longer?!? Yes it is a shame they no longer seem to be in demand.
