Too bad here in the U.S., unless they are a game enthusiast, videogame music is look down upon. Unlike in Japan and in Europe (it seems) where they have orchestrated tribute to this mutli-billion dollar game industry. I would love to be apart of the audience... oh how I envy your country!

Oh, the memories, back in my days of PS player, it was one of my favorite games! I remember I visited a number of times Orlox's Quarters just for the sake of listening this tune! At present, listening it isolated from the sound effects of the game, I feel a very strange sensation, like this tune was wrote by an intelligence different of the human being ... perhaps an old musical automaton or even a vampire itself?

i can see how she's may not have been used to playing with a live orchestra of that size, especially pieces that were meant to be played by classically trained professionals.

it's amazing to see this clash of worlds. composing music behind closed doors, then because of how great it is, it ends up on a stage with a huge orchestra and an audience. what a big moment.

I actually read in an interview online that this was her *first* live performance in front of an audience and she was very nervous seeing all the people... but when she heard the crowd cheer that gave her some more strenght, and she said she may even consider doing it again someday :)

Just like the game is called Symphony of the Night and not Nocturne in Moonlight ;)

@SanguineSymphony Actually no, the literal translation for Gekka no Yasoukyoku (月下の夜想曲) is Symphony of the Night or Nocturne Symphony, it is strange that they translate it as Moonlight Nocturne (ムーンライトノクターン in romanji: Mūnraitonokutān) but there are always confusions in japanese translations, it depends how you want to translate.

One last thing, there is a strange coincidence with the title of this castlevania and a Malice Mizer (band) song, search for gekka no yasoukyoku and you will see.

OH MY GOD !! Michiru Yamane in PERSON ! I always dreamed of seeing her live performing some of her majestic music for Castlevanias, and here she is !! I grew up with Castlevania music, I played some, and I think that Michiru is an absolutely amazing woman, can't believe that with all this music done she is so absent from performing live on concerts like this. Big thanks for ALL who brought this project to life, hoping a Worldwide tour :)
