@goldenshadowsocks7 Yes. If the parents are of the same nationality, the odds are 1/8192. But Ihatched with different nationailty parents, which makes the odds 1/1366 in 5th gen.

@aceandalsostuff Yeah, I believe those odds. It took me 6 MM shinies I think before one took less than 1000 eggs. Though a lot of people get them in 100.

@mrdigiman100 You need to hatch A LOT of eggs, but hatching has a higher chance for a shiny. Only slightly though. I hatched over 300 eggs to get my shiny Golett. It takes a lot of patience doing this.

@Brendan95732 It should be noted that 300 is extremely lucky. the chances for each egg being shiny (assuming youre using the masuda method) is 1/1366 which means that the chances of an egg being shiny after 300 eggs is only, like, 1-1365/1366^300 = 19.72%

that means that if five people hatched 300 eggs each, hypothetically only one of them would get a shiny. that's how rare it is, and this is with the masuda method that is 6 times less rare than normal.

and its not as hard,you just need patients and luck,if you have pearl you can chain,which narrows it down to one in five hundred,so it really depends on your luck

Hi im soft-resetting on my LG cartridge for a shiny bulbasaur. but, i turned off my DS a few times to take a break, but i saved after all the soft resets, but before i grabbed on of the pokés. does that matter? are al my sr's wasted now, which means I just have to sr all day when my DS is on all day?
