  • The English weren't exactly known for their cinema. This video is a good example of that.

  • Amazing how the world has changed. This movie was considered "scandalous" when it came out.

  • I wish the ending had Georgy ending up with Josh but at least she had a baby and James Mason too!....love the ending lyrics to the song, so different than the released record.....thanks for posting

  • 6:57 Loooook at that adorable puppy dog face!

  • Do you know - as much as I empathised with Georgie and her wishes throughout the film, Alan Bates' well-meaning character Josh Jones simply grated on me the whole time and I was delighted that she ended up with James Mason's creepy milionaire rather than with him.

  • such an odd ending.

  • Loved this film. Alan Bates reminded me of my hubby in this film. Hubby acts silly just like Bates' character - even kinda looks like him! Funny, I've always kinda been a "Georgy Girl." RIP to both Bates and Ms. Redgrave.

  • SEEING THIS CLIP OF "GEORGY GIRL" WE'VE LOST 2 ACTING LEGENDS (ALAN BATES AND LYNN REDGRAVE) NOT FORGETTING "LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE" BILL (COMPO) OWEN. WHEN THE FILM FIRST CAME OUT I WAS I TOO YOUNG TO SEE IT AT THE CINEMA (BEING AN "X FILM, hAD TO WAIT TILL IT WAS SHOWN ON TV (SOME 20 YEARS LATER) I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE THEME TUNE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FILM. R.I.P. LYNNE, ALAN AND BILL

  • "You're rich Georgy Girl!" Goodbye Lynn, rest in peace.

  • post all of it?

  • Should have won an Academy Award in 1966?

Uh, hello, she was up against Elizabeth Taylor in Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, one of the best performances of all time. Liz won, and deserved it.

  • This is so great...I love the lyrics in the ending credits of "Georgy Girl" .. I don't think The Seekers released that version commercially...Great clip ;)

  • Amazing how the Good Lord reaches to be with us. The song Georgy Girl came into my head with the deep sense of awkwardness the song portrayed when made. Being 8 years old from deep woods Georgia at the time, its still stuck with me. Out of the blue, I had a thought to search the internet. Miss Lynn's death was a a quick taste of melancholy.

Man and boy, as a bare foot boy or a US Marine. Ive clearly seen that Jesus Christ lives thru faces and places.

Angels and Prayers be with her family.

  • RIP Lynn, you were one of the best of British :)
