Looks a little flimsy. I've been using the Cam Caddie Scorpion with great success. $38 and all my shots are very smooth and consistent. I highly recommend one to anyone in need of a quality independent setup.
You can get the standard 15mm carbon firber rods here. Best deals.(h.t.t.p. ://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item=160604877652&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT)
Very Helpful. I went into my own Home Depot and told them I needed a thingey and a couple of copper whatamacall its and I walked out with everything I need to build my own rig. Keep up the good work
Yanks can't do anything simple. :/ Finding those dual offset wall brackets, or even finding offset conduit with two raised clamps - is very, very difficult. And nothing is bloody metric over here. You can find 5/8th length pipe, but say, I need 15mm rods, and everyone just tilts their head and waits for you to say 0.59" before the count down timer in their head causes it to explode for trying to process too hard. Needless to say, i are frustrated. Want rig. Ugg. >_<
Awesome Job! You mentioned being willing to send more detailed instructions for this build. I have looked around and like your design the best! Could you send me a parts list and some details? ( I went to Home Depot, I couldn't even find the tubes. Are they plastic? )
Can you email me instructions? Please tell me what each part is called and what it's practical use is. That way I can find it faster at Home Depot.
Would you build one for me then sell it to me??? Please! I will pay whatever you want! I could get one of the proffesional made ones but I like the way yours is made! Please let me know if this is at all possible! I'm not very crafty so building one is kind of out of the question!
WOW, great! Could you please help me order these parts online? It is nearly impossible buying parts in mm in the US! If you could give me the Links on the Karwei webpage to order the parts I would be very grateful! I also need the 15mm tubes that you used! Thanks, and great work!
nice rig man! could you tell me what tripod you have? I want to know because it seems like the head is easy to detach to use on the shoulder rig.. thanks!
Hi there, great rig. I need to make one for my short film that's in Post Production at the moment. Can you send me details of how to build including tips to:- wilsonrunnin@live.co.uk

@NiC3SHOT well thanx for the advice. however, im not asking about the rig, iam asking about the handle bar with the barends. Those are not by him. He man, ik ben zelf ook Nederlands. :).
Hi there, love the rig. Can you give any more detail as to the double snap in pipe clips. A brand name or product name? A link to a hardware store. They seem perfect for the job, it's just I haven't come across them yet.
great set up. Downside is in the US they don't make anything in metric (pretty stupid) and the clips are much different here. I ordered some from the UK. Now I have to find 15 mm tube if I want to add any standard attachments.
How did you mount the front bar across the pipes? And what brand are the bike handles? I really like this set-up, and I think I'm gonna have to make one.
@magermax000 The bike handles brand is unknown, when I bought them they just came in a brandless bag. I mounted the frontbar using 2 plastic mounts you could buy at every homedepot, they are used to mount copper tubes to a wall or you could use the plastic mounts for pvc tubes (electricity section). In between them I used a mount normaly used to mount a cheap light on a mountainbike. I drilled a hole, and used a long screw to lock it in the big wall mount
@Metsadah I suppose that you've heard this question before.
I'm looking to build a rig similar to your own, it's very subtle indeed. Really like the look of it. Can you send me the instructions, where to get the parts. I'm English but I live in France. The DIY depots are not great here. Would be thrilled to get a reply. Great bit of work. Cheers. Anthony
Great video and the rig looks fantastic - very professional! I'm definitely going to have a go at making one. Absolutely no need to apologise for your English. I'm English and you speak it better than most people here! Couple of questions though: did you use 15mm copper pipe? Also, you said you got the details for the front bar (that the handles are attached to) from Youtube - any idea where I can find this video? Thanks again for a great vid, would be interested to see some results using it.
