  • Bas Rutten, is that you?

  • looks very clean

  • haha, that is an awesome shoulderrig you made there ;)

didn't know your english was this good btw

  • I like dutch accents in English its even more fun than when they speek dutch :p

  • Looks a little flimsy. I've been using the Cam Caddie Scorpion with great success. $38 and all my shots are very smooth and consistent. I highly recommend one to anyone in need of a quality independent setup.

  • where did you get hte pieces from? You mentioned the front section from a guy on tube...

  • Great design. Here's another good on watch?v=RdS0EtmhFz4

  • The plastic things in which the tubes are snapped, you found this at Home Depot ? Do you know the exact name of that piece by any chance ? THanks !

  • This was good ;-)

Gave me some good ideas. maybe I try to make one too.

In short, where can all the parts be bought online?

The handles from the bikeshop was smart for my becoming focus and zoom rig

  • Nice! Great job!

  • You can get the standard 15mm carbon firber rods here. Best deals.(h.t.t.p. ://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item=160604877652&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT)

  • Very Helpful. I went into my own Home Depot and told them I needed a thingey and a couple of copper whatamacall its and I walked out with everything I need to build my own rig. Keep up the good work

  • I would love to have the complete details on parts needed to build this. Thanks

  • Yanks can't do anything simple. :/ Finding those dual offset wall brackets, or even finding offset conduit with two raised clamps - is very, very difficult. And nothing is bloody metric over here. You can find 5/8th length pipe, but say, I need 15mm rods, and everyone just tilts their head and waits for you to say 0.59" before the count down timer in their head causes it to explode for trying to process too hard. Needless to say, i are frustrated. Want rig. Ugg. >_<

  • Dude! This is the most amazing handcrafted thing i've ever seen in my life! You are my hero! (Just for this week)

    :p

  • could b nice if you give a detail parts and link to where to buy the stuff thanks

  • can you please sent me more detailed instructions to build this for my 7d? thank you

  • How is the shoulder support attatched to the main bars? And where did you get the clips that attaches the fron bar to the main bars

  • Awesome Job! You mentioned being willing to send more detailed instructions for this build. I have looked around and like your design the best! Could you send me a parts list and some details? ( I went to Home Depot, I couldn't even find the tubes. Are they plastic? )

  • Hey could you please tell me how to make this build and how much it will cost?

  • Would love to get some advise on building this type of frame for a 7D

  • what kind of lens are you using?

  • Can you sent me more details about your camera rig?

  • what did you use to clamp the two horizontal pipes to the perpedicular handle bar

  • How long are the tubes?

  • What type of dslr-plate did you use for this and could you make me a shopping-list? that would be awesome! :D

  • Great rig....I like the "thing" LOL thanks for taking the time to explain the specs.

    Cheers and great vid

    Joe

  • what parts did you use for the quick release plates?

  • Would you build one for me then sell it to me??? Please! I will pay whatever you want! I could get one of the proffesional made ones but I like the way yours is made! Please let me know if this is at all possible! I'm not very crafty so building one is kind of out of the question!

  • @1ceECo1d SAME HERE!!!!

  • WOW, great! Could you please help me order these parts online? It is nearly impossible buying parts in mm in the US! If you could give me the Links on the Karwei webpage to order the parts I would be very grateful! I also need the 15mm tubes that you used! Thanks, and great work!

  • I'm very curious how the base plate (camera connection point) is connected to the rails.

  • Hi there, great rig. I need to make one for my short film that's in Post Production at the moment. Can you send me details of how to build including tips to:- wilsonrunnin@live.co.uk

  • Hello, Love your rig, I do have one questions, where at home depot did you get the 15mm bars, I'm having a tuff time trying to find them.. Thanks!

    Thank you s.nolte@yahoo.com

  • I like your rig, but cannot find the clips at Home depot in the U.S. Can you give us a link to where to order the clips?

  • i'm looking at building one of these rigs. i seen several ones on the net but i like the look of this one. Can you send me the instructions and also about how much did it cost you in USD?

  • @NiC3SHOT well thanx for the advice. however, im not asking about the rig, iam asking about the handle bar with the barends. Those are not by him. If you would have watched the video before you commented, you've heard him say that he got it of ebay. I personaly like the handlebars very much. So it would be great to know what seller on ebay sold those to him...

  • richie handlebar and unknown brand barends

  • can you e-mail the instructions for how to make it to me? malkimeansking@gmail.com

  • He man, ik ben zelf ook Nederlands. :).

  • can you please upload a video that you shoot with this rigg?

  • @crysisguy05 I did make one but I had it on vimeo: but this behind the link on vimeo: 13452618

Youtube did not accept the music.

  • Hi there, love the rig. Can you give any more detail as to the double snap in pipe clips. A brand name or product name? A link to a hardware store. They seem perfect for the job, it's just I haven't come across them yet.

    Thanks.

  • great set up. Downside is in the US they don't make anything in metric (pretty stupid) and the clips are much different here. I ordered some from the UK. Now I have to find 15 mm tube if I want to add any standard attachments.

  • Where on ebay did you find it. Would be great to know the seller for the bike handles! Thanx

  • Where on ebay did you find this??? Would be great to know the seller. Thanx

  • @vanriese watch the video before you comment, he said he made it himself

  • Nice job - one of the better DIY rigs I've seen so far. Inspired :)

  • How did you mount the front bar across the pipes? And what brand are the bike handles? I really like this set-up, and I think I'm gonna have to make one.

  • @magermax000 The bike handles brand is unknown, when I bought them they just came in a brandless bag. I mounted the frontbar using 2 plastic mounts you could buy at every homedepot, they are used to mount copper tubes to a wall or you could use the plastic mounts for pvc tubes (electricity section). In between them I used a mount normaly used to mount a cheap light on a mountainbike. I drilled a hole, and used a long screw to lock it in the big wall mount

  • @magermax000 You can also check flickr.com/photos/gerbertfloor/ for more detailed photo's

  • Great video and the rig looks fantastic - very professional! I'm definitely going to have a go at making one. Absolutely no need to apologise for your English. I'm English and you speak it better than most people here! Couple of questions though: did you use 15mm copper pipe? Also, you said you got the details for the front bar (that the handles are attached to) from Youtube - any idea where I can find this video? Thanks again for a great vid, would be interested to see some results using it.

  • @PieFaceRecords Hi, you can find the other vid by searching for DIY dslr rig. It should be easy to find. Thanks for the compliments btw :).

I didnt use 15 mm copper pipe, but steel pipe, which was actually cheaperr and also a little bit stronger.

  • @Metsadah Thanks! I'll have a look for some steel pipe this weekend. When I get time to build the rig I'll do a video and let you know.
