OK, tell us your secret! I quit for 2 years once and then someone offered me a cig while I was waiting for my son to get out of major surgery and I lit it up! I used to think when people said they lit up due to nerves was a cop out until it happened to me. There was no reason I should have excepted that smoke but I did anyway. It started my habit back up again and I feel guilty about it. What was your secret to quitting? I love your vids by the way, you just keep it real and I like that! :-)
Honestly, I have no idea what my secret is... It took me 2 years to quit because I didn't do the "I'm quitting on this date" or "this is my last pack"... I cut back really slow to the point where at 5pm on the 29th, I realised I hadn't been outside, and really had no urge to go...
A lot has happened to me within the 3 years, that if I was to start back up, I would have done it already.
I remember the journey it took to get to where I am... and remembering that horrible experience coughing up lung crap for MONTHS after, helps keep it in check...
I just ride out the cravings, because I get them periodically SOOOO BBBAAAADDDD...
When I got a craving, I'd say it out loud, and say WHY I was craving... like "OK, I want a smoke because I am done gocery shopping and I would always have one at this time."
Just to warn you, you might get some mad cravings soon... but they really don't last long... there are days when I would kill for a smoke, 3 years later!

Saying it out loud helps you understand WHY you want one, and helps your brain change thought patterns... At least, that's my theory.
You have my support should you choose to quit again!
