  • I haven't gotten my share yet. Please send ASAP!

  • oh my damn

  • I like it :- )

  • Good job guys! Very inspiring. How long did it take you to build the system from paper to finished beer? Feel free to email me on contact@brewspot.com! Cheers from Belgium.

  • I believe i just watched the "Steve Jobs" of beer brewing. You guys are really on to something. This will be a very marketable gold mine for you, as I'm sure you well know. Wonderful work guys.

  • @davidcfowler Not to downplay these guys, but Kal over at The Electric Brewery (website of the same name and has some videos on here too) is my Steve Jobs of homebrew systems.

  • We love making beer and love sharing our know how with others. Thanks for the support and we try to answer as many questions as possible.

  • Home brewers are such nerds. Thank god.

  • These guys are awesome!!!

  • they probally invited the BROS and just CHILL

  • how to brew and be drunk yeeeeeeeeaaaaaa!!!!

  • i like how there talking and sipping like yeah were drinking our own beers up in here :)

  • I'm jealous of all grain home brewing setups as it is and this thing being automated makes me even more so.

  • I thought this was an episode for Automating Homebrewing for the Wii.

  • -smug-

  • that brewing system is awesome! :-)

  • MOOOO

  • that's awesome guys! that must have taken a long time to design right

  • AIDSTD v2

  • With Google's Android @ Home edition the brewers could actually go from a fixed capacity hardware controlled brewing system to a modular object oriented process control using a Android phone or tablet... or even a pc or server running native Android or Android in a virtual machine...

then the brewers could change their brew system without having to physically rebuild their Hermes brew control system.

and they could even monitor 24/7 getting reports if anomalies occur.

    that would be real clever!

  • I thought he said herpes...

  • Damn you guys are bad ass.

  • Bitchin

  • Next on make .. the automated wife pleaser ...

  • what did that cost to build?

  • is this legal? lol

  • @airsoftsports6mm you can legally brew 50 gal of beer at home a year. depending on state

  • @airsoftsports6mm In the Netherlands you can brew your own Beer, but why would we here in Europe we have the best beer!!

  • @xzaz2 Make that BELGIUM.^^

  • The goal is to be able to do automated brewing, but also be able to control it manually on the box, as well as via a web interface. We built this as a test before we build one for going pro at 100 gallons. Then we are going to build another brew system, so we can do 2 batches simultaneously, That will allow us to keep our batch sizes down long, while producing more beer. Brewing on 2 systems, 200 gallons total, will require automation. These are all stepping stones, but we still make beer!

  • Thats some serious brewing right there.

  • WOW SHE HAS BIG EYES

  • @gadgetboy1234 its the lenses in the glasses that magnifies the eyes.

  • @MrJunga No shit sherlok

  • @gadgetboy1234 you obviously did not know this because you said her eyes where big in your comment, if you are trying to make me look stupid for pointing out the obvious try not to post comments that you know is false.

  • @MrJunga I did not state the meaning of her appearance of big eyes so if you want to get all " know it all " with me then go do it to someone else.

I was just trying to add a humorous comment to this serious video.

  • cool video...back in 1991 I automated mash temperature control of a all grain 10 gallon back using a PC and a RS232 digital thermometer controlling a pump and a burner via X10 control. I used 3 half barrels as well...took me about 8 hours to brew a batch...

  • moooon shiiiiineeee

  • Cheers! This blows away the noobie electric stove / one carboy / one bucket / extract beers I've been making. Some day I'll get there. Awesome vid.

  • watch craigtube for partial extract brewing

  • these guys really worked hard just for beer. maybe I should work as hard for world peace. nah...

  • I want my own beer machine too =/

  • why did the video end mid senta

  • Awesome video!!! The future is in AUTOMATION!!!

  • That is pretty light beer...

  • takes the fun out of brewing if its automated

  • @HomeDistiller If you bought the system off the shelf I would agree But if you design and create the automated system yourself It makes it BAD ASS.

  • @InfiniteNesLives you are right, but I think it goes many steps further, is one of the things I love the most, nerds (intelligence) using the middle finger to change the world over sheer power (money).

  • @HomeDistiller if you just want your alcohol, im pretty sure u dont care

  • @HomeDistiller You obviously don't know how fun can be to build your own automation system.

  • @HomeDistiller

Not if you've build it yourself :)

  • @HomeDistiller Nope, it doesn't take the fun out unless they have somehow automated drinking it. That's the fun part.

  • Love brewing my own beer. cheers!
