Look for your local swing dance society...a lot of cities have them and the people are usually SUPER welcoming to new comers with or without dance partners. :) Usually local societies have basic lessons for $5 or under.

Madonna's dance partner is Eddie Mekka, the guy who played Carmine "the big Ragu" Ragusa on "Laverne & Shirley." It was nice to see him.

It's called the Lindy Hop. They have it in Malcolm X too. It's a very famous swing song, with a specific dance that goes along with it.

The song is called "Flyin Home" by Lionel Hampton (and others)..the dance is called the Lindy Hop....

There are many different versions of this song (faster, slower, etc) as well as many different people played it...the key is the melody line played by the brass section in the opening..that Ba Da Dah.....tells you it's flyin home....a great song
